I can remember last year when labour promised to end the use of hotels but as soon as they were elected have admitted to continue to utilize them for a further three years. labour promised to "smash the boat gangs" but instead are now advertising a six-year contract worth £521m to manage two sites in Kent to be used to process migrants arriving in the UK on small boats. |

Back in 2006 I was asked by an infuriated B&B landlady to check something for her as she was part fuming, part shocked and took afraid she'd say something. The source of her anger was a voicemail left on her business answerphone The Home Office was apparently contacting Accomodation Owners in the Guildford area offering them double the going rate to house asylum seekers but would have to pass a government inspection visit as they were 'quite particular about the standard of accomodation they required' She was pushing 80, and had run a B&B for businessmen such as myself, then an IT freelancer, in her own home for the past 30 years, starting it with her late husband when he was made redundant. She was incandescent. I was pretty pissed myself, rates had been pushed up by DEFRA stupidity causing a flood of incoming IT'ers taking all the available beds... I rang the number. It was indeed genuine. They needed places for these illegals to be housed close to where friends of theirs had already invaded... Back then we still had a thriving small business sector these scum were putting out of B&B accomodation Today, the IT sector is dead and there is no such demand. As such, I have no qualms taking the money |

They took priority accommodation over the homeless and housing waiting lists, so Labour took them off the perfectly adequate Bibby Stockholm and placed them in areas of already housing shortages and homelessness ......... way to go Labour>> |

Here in Newport the council wankers are already causing problems with increasing numbers of HMO's being approved, what this move has done is dumped hundreds more unwanted illegals in scarce housing for the indigenous finalcially challenged.
I'd sooner they towed the bloody barge across the channel back where the buggers came from and emptied it there, personally

Indeed, and the Bibby Stockholm may not have lived up to the high expectations and standard that illegal migrants have become accustom to,... but why do away with it, we have a prison shortage, why not use the Stockholm to house overcrowded prisons?
Labour have absolutely NO IDEA none at all. ......... Clueless Labour Government.

Indeed, and the Bibby Stockholm may not have lived up to the high expectations and standard that illegal migrants have become accustom to,... but why do away with it, we have a prison shortage, why not use the Stockholm to house overcrowded prisons? You can't do that ... prisoners have rights |
