The 10 million figure is about half the real one. To put it bluntly, the last two decades have sunk the country. No amount of 'raising taxes' is going to fix it btw - we have spiraling down productivity and higher taxes will just make that even worse. The policy for the foreseeable future will be to move yet more people in so taxes can be paid to prop up a government and civil service that can't solve any of the growing problems. At some point it will likely just keel over into chaos / civil war |

I dont think it was poulist nonsense. Its not about what the problems are, its how we deal with it. Massive fail. Massive. Of course it's populist nonsense because everything he said was either untrue or an over simplification. Look around, many countries are facing the exact same problems as us, did "14 years of Tory mismanagement" cause that too? lol. Funding public services and infrastructure is also increasingly difficult for many countries because every layer of bureaucracy, regulation, worker's rights etc adds more and more cost. Like I said previously, we pretend we want honest politicians, but if they were honest nobody would vote for them but that would require sacrifice and self-reflection. |

Wrong, your last sentence proves it. Ok then... why is out debt so large? a) Financial Crisis + Covid + Energy Crisis or b) Tory mismanagement. Anybody can use the internet to research the truth, but nope, the majority of people would just rather parrot that their mortgage is so expensive because "Liz Truss crashed the economy", and all the inflation / debt was because of "14 years of Tory mismanagement". They do because they don't want to admit their own part in it... ie they are populists fuckwits. Sadly the only people telling the truth on our economic problems are Reform, because there are zero grown ups in Labour or the Tories. |
