www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm20dv560j2oHot on the heels of Hunt the Intellect .... After Sunak's next door neighbour declared he's not interested in anything the next two offer, Not So Clever After All comes out and says he too is backbench bound Hardly surprising. When you're the front runner by a country mile but your supporters go SO far in gerrymandering your preferred opponent in the public vote they fuck up and BOTH of your opponents make it and YOU don't, it suggests a command of mathematics on a scale hitherto shown only by Diane The Flabbott

bit presumptuous of him to think he is going to be offered anything.. Not really. Both candidates had said they would offer him a place.

Why would the new leader want the same old faces ? There is that, but perhaps the more pertinent question is will the next leader be the leader at the next election. He has either plumped on no, or got his mind set on an alternative, like Mayor of London.

Whether the next leader will remain leader or Prime minister after the next election or not, they will be pivotal in what the Tory party will be . They might be pivotal in what reform will be too.

I do think that's partially true. However can you see the Tories doing as badly next time? For me, no.

Whoever is the next leader will be an enormous part of what the Tory party will look like at the next GM. However it will be the Labour governments success or lack of that decides whether the Tories regain power. Some of that depends on events outside of the governments control .

Cleverly really does nothing for me, I think he's a creep and a carpet-bagger. I hope his days in front line politics are over.
