If you're a spy inside a terrorist organisation you have to look like one of them. Condemn the IRA for making it necessary to spy on them. So lets say a Ukraine Russian spy plants a bomd in ukrain and kills people who do you blame russia for existing? |

Read Alexander Litvinenko's book, he explained what happened and then he was murdered with Polonium 210. |

No, I blame the dictatorship.
Now back to the IRA as this thread is about them.
The IRA are not Ireland, or Northern Ireland.
They were terrorists, they were a threat. Our government decided to put a man on the inside. By going into a terrorist organisation and not acting like one, he'd have stood out like a sore thumb. He had to fit in to spy.

Those who murder with legally owned firearms are extremely rare and tend to shoot themselves making hanging them somewhat pointless.
Those who murder with illegal firearms however, all for hanging them.

What's the point in hanging Michael Ryan, Thomas Hamilton, Derrick Bird, or Jake Davison all are already dead.
