Well, sort of. If the government decides to raise the employers contribution to NIC, then they (the employers), might decide to replace some of the staff who aren't doing very much with machinery that doesn't ring in sick or spend all day doing fuck all and complaining about it. But we shall see

Tax and spend on steroids. “ The government is looking at increasing tax on asset sales, such as shares and property, changes to inheritance tax and freezing income tax thresholds.”
They are coming after your houses, coming after your savings , coming after your pensions . Anyone who thought that working hard and saving was a good idea will know that skiving and pissing it up the wall is the best option . You will own nothing and be a happy doofus

I was amused to read that 2TK thinks that people with income from stocks aren't "Working People". Well I work and save into a stocks & shares ISA. So does that mean that I'm not a working person? And what about working people paying into company pensions? Are they now not working people since they are (hoping to) profit from stocks? And people who've finally paid off their mortgage, since they're now asset owners? Yep. They're after your assets, pensions and property alright.

I was talking to one mate he went into Currys this morning and purchased 4 wide screen TV's one for his household and one each for his 3 kids. He also last week drew a large wad of cash out of the bank and is keeping it at home in a digital safe he purchased from Ebay..I can see a lot of people spending their cash or keeping it at home prior to labours comming theft..

As soon as I saw the result of the GE, I moved our ISA'S from our Building Society in the UK into our Irish Bank, and moved some of our other savings out of the UK, the few Shares we have we left them in place for now
