The gist of the article is that Musk is moving into a legal grey area and opinion is divided . Far from it. All Musk is asking is for people to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments. So there is no GREY AREA.

The issue is not about getting people to sign the petition. Neither is it about endorsing Trump, as FS seems to think. You don't get a chance of winning the money if you do not sign the petition - that is the whole point. It's like the National Lottery over here - if you do not take part you do not have a chance of winning. If you were a US citizen why wouldn't you sign the petition - do you disagree with the constitution? Signing the petition isn't the issue. I'm guessing you didn't read the article I linked to?

Of course he disagrees with the constitution People having a right to talk to each other and associate freely is a 'nightmare scenario' for his political position

Indeed . The thugs in BLM,Antigua, pro trans groups etc are in denial that they are thugs . They have been brainwashed to think they are in a crusade for the groups that they have groomed to believe are victims . The farce surrounding the Manchester airport debacle and the Kaba killing proves this. Yes Convince someone vulnerable that they are a victim and you are their protector and then use them as a manipulated proxy against your political enemies Machiavelli 101 A lot of the people behind these movements and tendencies really are psychopaths

All Musk is asking is for people to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments. So there is no GREY AREA. I’m just quoting the article “There is certainly an argument that this falls within the scope of a federal prohibition on paying a person to vote or register to vote,” said Daniel Weiner of the left-leaning Brennan Center for Justice. “This is part of a pattern of him skating up to the edge of election laws that we’ve seen in the past several weeks.” Musk's representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Four legal experts were divided on whether the giveaway violates federal laws that make it a crime to pay or offer to pay a person to register to vote. Weiner of the Brennan Center said the promotion is legally “fishy” but falls into a gray area. The question boils down to whether signing the petition is merely a pretext for getting people to register to vote, he said.”

That has nothing to do with supporting a candidate for the next presidential election...This is just an attempt by the US democrats to put another unsubstantiated slur on both Musk and Trump..

As I said , Im merely pointing out what the article said. There are obviously mixed opinions on both sides just as there are mixed opinions on both sides on the subject of Labour ‘ encouraging’ ( cough cough ) anti Trump canvassers in the US.

I totally agree Mate.. They are desperate, what they do not realise that Labour are a disaster in the UK, so any help they offer in a US election will do more damage to their campaign, the people of the US want to see the damage a lefty government can do to the economy and society, once they see the mess the UK is in, Trump will win hands down, everything Labour touches turns to dust.

Not immediately clear what any of this has to do with the prospect (or otherwise) of an impending race war in the UK.
A successful diversion away from a discussion of a topic that is too painful for some to contemplate?

Of course I read it - some supporters on the Democratic left are claiming that it is a breach of the Law. Others disagree. What I am pointing out is that the issue has nothing to do with the election - there is nothing that Musk is doing that could be construed as support for Trump.

That's a question you'll need to be putting to the younger folk in a generation or so when the effects of the Great Replacement become clearer to the majority population.
