As the upcoming conference will seek to demand repatriations from the UK
Will the madness afflicting our leaders that has seen our history depicted as nothing more than shameful and abasing ourselves to some cultures that despise ours see us finally bankrupt us in their desperation to atone for things that happened years ago for which none of us have any blame and ignore the greater and better part we played in that history.

Ive generally thought the 'commonwealth' a force for good in the world and am joyed that there is no mention of this historical reparations nonsense on their web pages . Its not on the agenda of matters for discussion so it will only be brought up in back rooms . The agenda is climate change , trade ,security and growth with the main theme being a resilient common future , all pretty good stuff .
With kneel a lot present though you never know how this one is going to go

Have South Sudan and Burundi joined up yet? Ex-French colonies Togo and Gabon were admitted in 2022, joining the other members with no meaningful connection to the Empire, or even the British Commonwealth as it used to be called.

The commonwealths roots are of course in the Empire of the past but any country that adheres to its values can now join the Commonwealth of nations .The latest members as you say are Togo and Gabon who joined in 2022 had no ties to the British commonwealth nor did Mozambique (1995) or Rwanda (2009)

Yes it is time to ditch the commonwealth. Have a read of this bullshit which was obviously written by some blue sky thinker, a Gus Hedges type... thecommonwealth.org/our-work/commonwealth-fund-technical-co-operation-cftcEssentially The Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-operation (CFTC) seems to be a quango that no one has ever heard of (One of many) who's principal function is to dish out cash to their buddies.

Well the state of Victoria last year said they could not justify the cost to host the Commonwealth Athletics tournament so now might be a good time to start to exit this or run it down.

Britain should demand reparations from the commonwealth not supplying us with more slaves, raw materials. There was nowt wrong with it at the time, and it was a free tickeet here.

The games are now going to be held in Glasgow . Not quite the same as a couple of weeks in the sun but fair play to Glasgow for stepping in It should be noted its not our commonwealth to ditch anymore . Its a commonwealth of nations of which we are but one member . Its not ours to run down and leaving makes little sense

There were 22 sports included in the now cancelled Australian games, but due to a lack of facilities only ten will be hosted in Glasgow. I think the Commonwealth Games like the Olympics is too expensive for most countries.

They've had their reparations we gave them independence.
Next, create a free trade agreement across it to help their economies but only democracies allowed.
No human rights abusers.
And kick out ungrateful oik dictatorships.
