According to Homer it is what the Greeks used to do when going into battle. They would sacrifice cows, and he mentions on one occasion the odds were seriously stacked against them so they did a whopping 300 cow sacrifices before their ship departed. They figured, that should please the gods.

It was a long time ago I read it, and it mentioned several times they sacrificed the cows, leading up to this mega sacrifice. Homer's heroes normally win.

I cant believe we're just three months into this government and there's already talk of a reshuffle. I wonder who else is for the chop? Lammy is without doubt the worst foreign secretary we have ever had however, I'll say what everyone else is thinking; in spite of his incompetence the fact that he's black will no doubt save him.
