Nothing in that post suggests that I want to have ‘ no wealthy “ let alone ‘ really want ‘ it. You want billionaires to give up want they don’t need when you aren’t giving up what you don’t need. I would happily pay more tax, would you? Give yourself a biscuit for the use of strawman along with a nice virtue signal and maybe address the point made . You want billionaires to give up what they don’t need but you don’t . You say that you would happily ( be forced to) pay more tax but you could give more wealth away anyway .

Of course - the bottom half have negative wealth as you would expect. "Of course" nothing. wealth inequality in the UK is the worst in the EU. I have no objection to being wealthy but no one needs billions. What do you mean? - by definition the bottom half are going to have no wealth, do you think you can change that?.

I take it you wouldn't pay more tax, but I would. The argument that I could donate more is pointless, it requires everyone who can afford it to be MADE to pay more because the greedy out weigh the altruistic a thousand to one. I want those with ability to pay without suffering to pay more. Its a well known principle called progressive taxation. I do not share your view that a billionaire would suffer if they were asked to pay a £100million more. They would still have £900million to live on. The wealth gap is gross in this country. Why is that?

I would happily pay more tax, would you? So how much extra did you pay this financial year over and above what is required? I didn't take a salary this financial year. I gave my staff pay rises and in these difficult times took a hair cut myself. And no I don't get dividends as I don't approve of tax dodging. And as explained to Bentley it can't be done by a few altruistic people who love their country making donations

Why is that? I never said I would or wouldn’t because I’m not the one saying that billionaires should give up what they don’t need and isn’t giving up what I dont need. You,are merely diverting attention of your own hypocrisy at me . The argument that you could donate is a good one . You trumpet that you would pay more tax if you were forced to but won’t if you have a choice . You don’t seem to realise how hypocritical your position is but the fact that you want to divert your hypocrisy at me is telling . Just another virtue signal from a serial virtue signaller.

I never raised any point about what ‘ can’t be done ‘ for you to explain. You are making things up to virtue signal about again .

Who’d have thought it ? The workers champions creating less workers . www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp816jrnynyoHigh Street job losses are "inevitable", prices will rise, and shops will close because of tax rises in the Budget and other rising costs, a group of the biggest retailers in the UK is warning. Tesco, Amazon, Greggs, Next, and dozens of other chains are urging the Treasury to reconsider some of the measures. In a letter to Chancellor Rachel Reeves, they said the "cumulative burden" of the Budget changes and other policies already in the pipeline will add billions in costs to a sector with a 3% to 5% profit margin.

The Sunday’s “Save our High Streets” campaign.

We are turning into India decade by decade.

I want everyone who is rich enough to pay more tax. You can play this stupid game but it wont change that. We have too many people with a billion pounds and too many without even proper care, its no way to run a civilised country.
