Farage also broke the law over offering paid tours of parliament, so it's not that he's used to keeping to the rules. The only reason he has a following is because a lot of people hate immigrants. He has no morals himself and doesn't care. Wanting immigration control isn't hate. Illegal immigration drowns people. Legal immigration is far above what we can actually cope with. It's not that "immigrants" = bad, it's that there are problems with the system and we have to grasp a nettle in order to fix it. I've been called racist many a time simply for wanting migration controls. I don't want to come out of the convention on Human Rights although we should look at our own 1998 act and see if loopholes exist in it, that aren't needed under the convention as too many people have died because of illegal immigration and we need to stop the deaths. |
