Ministers have been accused of “cutting” the RAF’s next generation fighter programme by 10 per cent this year as Rachel Reeves seeks budget savings.
The Ministry of Defence has confirmed £160 million less than expected will be spent on the Tempest project amid wider fears about its future.....
It comes after Labour was accused of downgrading its pre-election commitment to increase military spending to 2.5 per cent of GDP “as soon as possible”. James Cartlidge, the shadow defence secretary, said the move amounted to a “cut” to the project that “sends entirely the wrong message to our adversaries”. link

British Army set to shrink to smallest size since before Napoleonic wars...... Defence secretary John Healey has shocked MPs after he admitted that the army is on course to fall to its lowest number of personnel for more than 230 years. Answering questions from in parliament, the minister confirmed that the size of the army will fall below 70,000 for the first time since 1793. Back then, the British Army had around 40,000 soldiers but was rapidly increased to fight the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. Answering a question from Labour MP Emma Lewell-Buck, the defence secretary said: “I am really angry about the state of defence after the last Government: there are billion-pound black holes in defence plans; service morale is at record lows; and Army numbers are set to fall below 70,000 next year.

This is what happens when children, the left, are in charge, and i include the Tories. That buying votes as the Tories did, or trying to results in shite like this.
The two are never connected, that emptying the coffers for nonsense, then things like this happens. Johnson etc need to be strung up.
