If the Tories had produced one single decent government from 2010 to 2024, they may have remained in government, but as usual their continued maladministration left a whole load of shizer for this government to clean up. Only those with a high level of political bias or a lack of insight that doesn't allow them to either see the economic mess the country is in, or to see the advantages that will arise for the UK if the economy is brought onto an even keel, are foolish enough to totally denigrate the government at this point in time And there are plenty of them. *even kneel,

No, thought not.

Right this is through the grapevine, apparently there is news about to explode about Starmer and his private life, I know what it is but at this stage it would be reckless to print, but if it's true Starmer will be gone within the next week or two. Well, let's be honest: He's done favours for enough wrong 'uns in his time that it would hardly be surprising if there were a few skeletons in the closet.

Thing is, however much many might hate Labour, they have been gifted such a huge majority that it doesn't actually matter how disliked they are, they cannot be voted out until the net election, whilst in the meantime having the numbers to be able to do whatever they want. They won't be the least bit worried about their unpopularity right now. They won't start worrying about it until the next election hoves into view. They probably believe they can turn it around by then. Whether or not they are deluding themselves remains to be seen Ffs does 20% ring any bells? It doesn't matter. They have a huge majority. There is nothing that can be done about that until the next election. A few byelection defeats will hardly dent such a majority. And your Tories and Reform each got even fewer votes than Labour did. Like I said, because they cant be voted out of office for nearly 5 years they dont give a stuff about how unpopular they are now.

Whether or not they are deluding themselves remains to be seen By the time the next GE comes along the local elections will have dwindled that majority down, Starmer doesn't care because he has no intentions of serving a second term of office (if he's lucky enough to serve this one). If any of the Labour MPs hope to serve a second term in office they need to put a spoke in his wheel now, some of the Labour MPs are quite young and now they have a taste of being in government they wont want to let it go. That itself is ignorant rubbish. Do you not realise that we don't vote for MPs in local elections and thus cannot whittle down their majority by voting in them? We could vote against Labour councillors and Labour could lose a lot of their councillors potentially. But their majority in parliament would be untouched by this, until such time as we get to vote for MP's ie in a general election. I can't believe the level of political ignorance around here sometimes.

Local elections are always important as they decide who runs vital services that affect millions of people's lives every day. However, experts will be looking closely at these local elections to try to work out how people are feeling about the whole UK government.
How each political party does locally will be watched very carefully, looking for clues as to who that might be.

Rumours on the grapevine and Chinese whispers are aplenty. Most turn out to be fiction. If he does have any skeletons in his closet and they are about to fall out it will be reported in the reputable media then. Until there is something tangible, I have no reason to assume this is anything more than malignant propaganda. If there is some dark secret waiting to be revealed I will wait for it to come out before commenting on it

Yes, but they don't whittle down any majority in parliament as you stated.
