Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, has taken to social media to criticise Keir Starmer over three decisions he has made since becoming Prime Minister. It comes as the Labour Party come under fire for sending up to 100 staff to the United States to campaign for Harris in several battleground states. Speaking on X, Farage said: "This was a terrible decision by @keir_Starmer’s government who have now: 1) Surrendered the vital Chagos Islands. 2) Sent 100 Labour Party campaigners to support Kamala Harris. 3) Already insulted the incoming Trump administration."

Where's Keir this week? Attending a gathering of Commonwealth leaders in Samoa, apparently. Giving away more of our overseas territory? No, just arranging to bankrupt us.

The Chagos islands are not vital He didn't send anyone to campaign - they paid their own way there as volunteers. It's no different than Truss or Farage going over and campaigning for Trump

The Chagos islands are not vital He didn't send anyone to campaign - they paid their own way there as volunteers. It's no different than Truss or Farage going over and campaigning for Trump I beg to differ. They are a launch pad for military assets capable of monitoring and action in our interests. Your claim these are merely volunteers withers somewhat when the fact their presence was organised by the party as part of a specific campaign to assist the democrats is revealed If Truss went there to speak in favour of one side against the other I seriously doubt the Sunak camp would have accepted she spoke for them. This is a group organised by the party to go as part of a campaign approved by the labour party to campaign against a candidate in the US Presidential election. If Yiu can't see the problem there...

It is highly concerning that the ruling party permits its members to engage in vote canvassing efforts in a foreign country, particularly in one of our closest allies. This raises serious questions about the appropriateness of such actions, both diplomatically and politically. Sir Keir Starmer must take swift action to address this issue and put an end to these questionable practices before they undermine our international relationships and the integrity of domestic electoral processes." Labour's rank amateurishness in its call to arms against Trump is unforgivable. And if he wins the US election there'll be a price to pay..... www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-13996199/STEPHEN-GLOVER-Labour-Trump-election.html

And if he wins the US election there'll be a price to pay..... www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-13996199/STEPHEN-GLOVER-Labour-Trump-election.htmlIt must be pointed out Trump's blustering regarding the legality is pointless. United States legislation pertaining to canvassing in support of Presidential candidates indeed if I read it correctly all election campaigns permits non US Citizens to volunteer their unpaid time and effort in support of any candidate's campaign and is in fact far stricter than our own laws which clearly impose no citizenship requirements upon any canvasser, supporter or paid employee of political parties engaging in the process of persuading voters of the vote-worthiness of their candidate, or as is more popular in the States, persuading voters of the stupidity in placing their vote against a rival's name. The question is therefore within the US one of morality, of whether it is right for a country's government to support the candidacy of one person, or party, over another. I think it is one thing for a party in opposition to engage in such, but for a party IN GOVERNMENT to do so while in power is something else entirely. This matters because of course the United States in particular has a past habit of causing the deselection of candidates and removal of successfully elected ones in other countries by force and / or sniper's bullets etc etc... I do not know if there is within the United Kingdom a statute law on a par with the 1819 Foreign Enlistment Act, which sought to preserve British neutrality in the Spanish American War Of Independence, making it illegal for any British Subject to enter into military service with a foreign country engaged in a war against another with whom Britain was currently not at war, or to cause any vessel to be equipped for war in that conflict within His Majesty's Dominions without His Majesty's Licence, preventing British Citizens from engaging in political activity whether paid or otherwise in support of candidates in a foreign election. I think there should be. I think that might royally fuck certain political donations for a start !!

The party’s candidate, Joan Burrows, raced to victory in Thursday’s (October 24) by-election in Middleforth. She secured 517 votes and a 46% share of the vote, ahead of her Labour opponent, Laura Crawford-Lane, who came second with 362 votes. The Liberal Democrats and Green Party candidates finished third and fourth, respectively, in a contest where only one in five eligible voters turned out. The three-member ward has been made up of a trio of Labour councillors since 2015, with the party sweeping the board in three consecutive elections, the most recent being just last year. Cllr Burrows – who has been a Lancashire county councillor for the wider Penwortham East and Walton-le-Dale division for more than seven years – puts what she admits was her “shock” win down to her local profile and a shift in the mood amongst one group of residents in particular. Oh dear Oh dear! Not going well is it?

We seem to have got rid of Liz Truss and found an MP that is even less responsive . That’s pretty hard to do.

Shock boost for Conservatives as new analysis of council election results shows support draining away from Labour..... New analysis of council election results since the General Election in July has revealed a resurgence in Tory electoral fortunes at Labour’s expense. In the 105 council by-elections since the election, Labour have lost an aggregate of 20 seats whilst the Conservatives have gained 15. Analysis of the aggregate vote share reveals Labour won 26 per cent of all votes cast, down 8.6 per cent. Barring the SNP, vote shares were up for all other parties, with the biggest winner being Reform who were up 4.6 per cent. The other parties have seen little change with the Liberal Democrats remaining on 17 seats, the Greens and SNP gaining three, and Reform gaining one.
