The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has revealed it failed to bring charges against Mohamed al Fayed for sexual abuse on two occasions.
Fayed, who died last year aged 94, was recently described as a "monster" by lawyers representing alleged victims.
Women accuse the former Harrods owner of rape and sexual assault, claiming he was "cherry-picking" staff for abuse in his executive suite.
The CPS confirmed it received evidence from the Met Police twice. The first was in 2009 over an alleged indecent assault on a 15-year-old girl in 2008 and the second in 2015, regarding a rape allegation from 2013.
Both cases were dropped due to "conflicting evidence" and lack of "realistic prospect of conviction".
The CPS also provided early investigative advice to police in 2018, 2021 and 2023, but received no full evidence.
A spokesperson for the CPS said: "To bring a prosecution the CPS must be confident there is a realistic prospect of conviction - in each instance, our prosecutors looked carefully at the evidence and concluded this wasn't the case."

Yes but like when Saville died, all of a sudden there was an uproar about all the bad shit he was supposed to have done. You see his estate was worth a few million, so it is easy money. It beats walking the streets with your tits hanging out.

The OP has nothing to do with compensation its states quite clearly the CPS were asked twice to consider prosecuting Fayed for Sexual Offences, however they considered that they did not have a realistic prospect of securing a criminal conviction, as far back as 2009
What has compensation got to do with the above facts ?

I repeat They failed to bring charges while he was alive.

He died in 2023.

Exactly, it highlights what strength of evidence is required to prosecute anyone even for lesser Criminal Offences

There are many rich men and many rich old men. The ones that seem to get accused of sexual assault are the ones who already have a long reputation as being sexual predators. As I said , my niece told me that he was just that before Diana died .

Statically you are more likely to be raped by someone you know, family member, neighbour, work colleague, not a stranger

Statically you are more likely to be raped by someone you know, family member, neighbour, work colleague, not a stranger Yes because most 'rapes' are false. Real rape would involve something like a knife t the throat, not boyfriend and girlfriend have na argument.
