I am asking why Conservative politicians are so afraid of expressing conservative values, while the eleectorate are begging them to do so.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c781m9v4255oHere's the reason the Far Right Tories want out of the ECHR. They are already coming after maternity Pay. Then they'll go after Sick Pay. Then Holiday Pay. And finally, with the ECHR in gutter and no protections left to the ordinary man in the street they'll come after your very right to be paid for your work. I predicted this the very day the first Tory Alt-Right loons started talking about dumping the ECHR; and I have now been proven correct. All The Best

This is why a lot of people think the less it is responsible for the better. I get my right of freedom of expression interfered with every day but the ECHR won't help me. Sadly there are many times I've seen the government contravene ECHR rights. The most disgusting was quite recently where anyone who was picked up in the vicinity of the protests about that mass murder was given the option between pleading guilty and going to prison or pleading not guilty and going to prison for an indefinite time but much longer than pleading guilty. All one man did to deserve this was turn up, wonder what the heck was going on, wandered into a building with some open door to take a look and then nabbed by the police. He did not commit any crime, and the most they could have accused him of was trespass, but considering all the commotion I don't think it would be unlawful. For all he knew it could have been a robbery and he could have been offering them assistance. All crime needs a guilty mind. All punishment needs a fair trial under ECHR rights. You see ECHR is only used when it is to protect the government and aid their agenda. You try using ECHR rights in court and see how far it gets you.

All The Best Oh don't be daft - all of those were introduced in the UK long before the ECHR was even created.

I think she's blown it now
Her rantings on maternity pay show she forgets who it was in the days when Housing Prices, Married Man"s Tax Allowances, Mortgage Interest Relief At Source and Family Allowance meant a married woman could expect to have children with her husband without going bankrupt in the process.
Her attack is a clear sign she enthusiastically embraces the eradication of the white race in this country, already reproducing far below sustainability levels

The removal of Maternity Pay disproportionately affects non-white families more than white families; because it is the non-white families that tend to have higher birth rates. That said I have no issue with Maternity Pay, Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave and Child Benefit being limited to just two children for everyone. All The Best

Your right in saying she has dropped the ball with this one .. .[Post edited by Moderator to remove racist comment] . That they can get there by subterfuge is bad enough but at least we have shown we can correct that at the first opportunity at the ballot box .

It takes an arrogant bitch to stab a knife in our backs. She is trying ever so hard to sound reasonable, much like Starmer did I guess. He's going to eradicate Tory sleaze!

I don't really think it matters very much who becomes leader of the Conservative Party, the main body of current Tory MPs are One Nation lefties, their candidate selection process ensures only lefties can stand as candidates and local party campaigners have no say in the selection process and most Tory MPs are rejoiners and gender recognition nut jobs. The only way the Conservatives will ever see power again is if they drop their current left wing philosophies and adopt genuine Conservative values, but Reform have already done that so they have missed the bus.
Wee Kemi comes across as very arrogant and has "attitude" if you know what I mean, (think of her clash with the Speaker some time ago), and hardly likely to sort out the party, they are all spouting the same rubbish we have been listening to for 14 years and they all held high office when it all went wrong, I can't see them coming back from that, certainly not with the current candidates.
I think that I will stick with Reform, they do seem to be the only game in town that can oppose the current shambles.

All The Best Perhaps if you stepped back a bit you'd see the glaring error in your own post In order to receive maternity pay, one has to have a job from which to receive maternity leave with pay I see precious little evidence the dalek suited with six urchins in tow two in a buggy who have free rein to enter our shopping centres unchallenged by security who demand motorcyclists remove their helmets so their faces are visible on CCTV have a job of any sort

And it shouldn't be forgotten that Badenoch campaigned in 2018 for more legal immigration and for students to bring in dependents with them .You can't believe a word she says .

All The Best Well, at a relative rate of reproduction three times the white population, and moves afoot in SW1A to derail what little there is, if she got the chance, I'd say mine got proven rather more
