Italy has reduced landings on their soil by 50% they have ploughed millions into the nations where the alleged asylum seekers sail from.
The also have built two large holding camps in Albania manned by Italians who will assess them when they arrive, if successful they allowed to enter Italy and stay

The summary copied from the 2024 Labour manifesto Launch a new Border Security Command with hundreds of new specialist investigators and use counter-terror powers to smash criminal boat gangs. So where are these "New specialists" going to come from then, other than Starlin's imagination? Because it's an oxymoron: They can either be new or specialist but they can't be both. |

Starmer has no plans to stop it, as winter approaches and the sea becomes treacherous there will be many many more of these deaths, both Macron and Starmer have blood on their hands while the people traffickers take the piss out of the pair of them, they are the real winners. The plans by the Labour Party for dealing with the boats problem were all set out in the manifesto, and explained many times by prospective Labour MPs during the election on TV, on the radio, in newspapers and at public meetings. Will Starmers plans work ? ... I dont know, but I hope they do Did anything the previous government did work ?

Britain should be pushing these boats back to France, but our government (Tory) were too gutless to do this and Starmer will just wave them over to placate Macron and Brussels.
