801 migrants crossed the English Channel on Saturday - the second-highest number this year - before tragedy today claimed eight lives
The current record for the highest number of arrivals in one day so far this year is 882 in 15 boats on June 18. The latest small boat disaster claimed the lives of eight migrants today after their dinghy got into difficulty off the coast at Ambleteuse, near Calais, in the early hours of this morning. A ten-month-old baby was among those rushed to hospital following the tragedy, which was brought to attention when emergency services received a Mayday from the dinghy. 'Several migrants lost their lives,' said Jacques Billant, the Pas de Calais prefect, as he confirmed eight unidentified migrants were declared dead at the scene.

Maybe our pensioners should go to France and come back in small boats. At least they would be looked after when they ariived back here... |

Yes straight in to a hotel no less than 4 star, supplied with bed and 3 meals a day, heating and all bills paid for, plus a mobile phone topped up and pocket money .... Christ the pensioners would think it was all their birthdays arrived at once. |

The plans by the Labour Party for dealing with the boats problem were all set out in the manifesto, and explained many times by prospective Labour MPs during the election on TV, on the radio, in newspapers and at public meetings. Will Starmers plans work ? ... I dont know, but I hope they do Did anything the previous government did work ? We all know the answer to that question, and so does that mean Sunak also has blood on his hands, and Boris too ? |

Is it any wonder our prisons are ram packed, ram packed with foreign criminals, the first thing Starmer should be doing to ease the prison crisis is to immediately deport foreign criminals with a ban on them returning, why the fuck would any country keep on taking foreign criminals who are escaping capture form their own country ... it's utterly absolutely fuckin insane.
