Pull the other one — you’ve used a catchy phrase and tried to use it as an insult, without understanding what it means… I know what it means Pat the same as I know you polish turds. Two lies. One, you’ve no idea what your lipstick jibe means. And two, I’ve never laid a hand on you…

You did . You .”Why can’t anyone but JohnOG understand that my comment is not about the substance of what GBN reports, but surprise that the outlet has enough of an audience for any plagiarism to be noticed…?” ukpoliticsdebate.boards.net/post/269977/thread

I plainly post that my comments are not about the substance [see my highlighting above] but wondering how and who would recognize words and language coming from GBN.
I also noted earlier that I've seen and heard news media quoting others, but I don't recall any media citing material from GB News...

Just read past the bold. Specsavers are open today . I suggest a bit of training in clause analysis might help you and others with comprehension...

I suggest that you grow a pair and admit that your post claimed news could be plagiarised . A bit of training in honesty perhaps . You seem to be somewhat lacking in that .

It’s the mis-reading and/or dishonest interpretation some are putting on it that I’m pointing out — straight out of the Trump school of Ohio cat and dog eating…

You have been trying to wriggle out of it . It hasn’t been misread of dishonestly interpreted , it’s bloody obvious what you claimed . The bollocks of trying to divert the argument to Donald Trump just makes you look ridiculous as well as dishonest.

PP needs to change his alias to Humpty Dumpty. And for those of you who are fed up with trying to unravel convoluted posts Humpty Dumpty is quoted a s saying: " A word means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less.'

So now you’re quoting a fictitious character to back up a suspect opinion (Trump used Hannibal Lecter) Nevertheless, I can assure you I mostly use British English in my posts and I’m happy for my words and phrasing to be checked by the OED, Fowlers, and Usage and Abusage. However, for my part, it’s difficult to know if most posters here are in OAP luncheon clubs, at home bored with daytime TV, or skiving off school. So I doubt my advice will be useful…
