2024 Hurricane season, Prediction-terrible, outcome-quiet

Still time yet for the season to come roaring back as scientists grapple with why. It is interesting that we can predict the climate 20, 30, 100 years hence but struggle to apply all the same rules to get seasonal features to do as they are told. I think I detect a note of desperation.
