Why is this in the Scotland section? ..and he was not the editor - that is Fraser Nelson Because he was born there, he often comments on devolved politics and SNATs hate him for showing them up.

Why is this in the Scotland section? ..and he was not the editor - that is Fraser Nelson Andrew Neil was chairman.
After his "disillusion" with GB News, he probably resigned in disgust that The Spectator, part of Telegraph Media Group, has a new owner — GB News investor Sir Paul Marshall, who is becoming the 196-year-old magazine’s 14th proprietor.
The Spectator's editor, Fraser Nelson, has also criticized the deal.
After The Spectator and The Daily Telegraph were put up for sale in June 2023, Neil threatened to quit when a company linked to the United Arab Emirates attempted to buy the whole group Limited, saying: “You cannot have a major mainstream newspaper group owned by an undemocratic government or dictatorship where no one has a vote.”
The Spectator's editor, Fraser Nelson, had also criticized the deal...

Really? Had The Spectator been sold to the Emirati government, as was on the cards, we would have faced obvious questions about our operational and editorial independence. That will be protected under Sir Paul, who is buying The Spectator because he admires what we have achieved, believes in the magazine’s values and, most importantly, knows that we can go further with more investment.

Coming slightly back on topic..
The Spectator is one of a number of publications available for me to read free of charge as an e-book thanks to a subscription paid by our public library and I take full advantage of that.
I have not, personally, noticed any significant difference in the output. Has he actually left yet ?
