He's a confounded Liar, he lied his way in to being Prime Minister, if he said before the General Election what he's saying now he knows he would never have stood a chance of becoming PM, yet he knew well before the GE he was going to cut winter fuel allowance for pensioners, he didn't just pluck it from the air once he became PM ... and for that he should be kicked out, he mislead the electorate and there is law to protect people from liars. The Law says A misrepresentation is a false or misleading statement or a material omission which renders other statements misleading, with intent to deceive. Misrepresentation is one the elements of common law fraud, and other causes of action for fraud, such as securities fraud. Was every decision the Tories took while in office a) in their manifesto, and b) fully disseminated to the public before the election? In the run in to the 2019 General Election did the Tories say: "We are going to rape public services to within an inch of their lives, and increase immigration to record levels"? We both know they didn't. So unless you can demonstrate you accused the Tories of legal misrepresentation then I am afraid I think this post is deeply hypocritical. All The Best

If so probably not the best choice of words.

NHS hospitals have to pay VAT on all their medicines. If, as has happened to me several times during my treatment as a hospital outpatient, my hospital doctor sends a prescription to the hospital pharmacist 20% VAT is paid. If they inform my GP I need such a prescription no VAT is paid. In some hospitals doctors are encouraged to request that the patient's GP be contacted about the need for medication rather than provide them with such when they are discharged ... in order to keep down costs. This can lead to problems if there is a delay in obtaining the medication from a community pharmacist. On one occasion the community pharmacists were unable to provide my GP prescribed-on-the-instructions-of-my-hospital-doctor medication because of a "shortage" ... so my hospital doctor, when I told her about the problem, got it from the hospital pharmacy.
It is not uncommon for elderly people to be discharged from hospital needing medication only to find that their usual pharmacy cannot fulfill their GP prescription and they are told to "try taking it to other pharmacies until you find one that has it" ... or "wait until we have it". There is actually a code number that one can quote over the phone rather than give the full description of the medication, that allows the pharmacies to quickly determine if they can supply it ... but patients are usually not told about this.
During my time as a carer, when I was responsible for my wife's catheter care, I purchased some very expensive tests papers to keep a check on my wife's urine ... I had to pay VAT on them. These test papers twice identified infections after my wife had been discharged from hospitals after a short stay. When I myself ended up with a catheter pharmacies said that they were no longer able to sell them "over the counter" and I've been unable to get a prescription for them. The test results from these papers need one to have a level of knowledge about what is "trivial" and what is "serious".. which I have.

Oh well Starmer has a new nickname ... Scrooge Starmer ...
When Scrooge asks whether Tiny Tim will live, the Ghost answers with the words Scrooge had previously spoken to the portly gentlemen who were collecting for charity...
"If he be like to die, he had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

Big Gob Rayner has competition. Trade union bosses have criticised the government's decision to withdraw winter fuel payments from millions of pensioners, saying it was the "wrong choice". Unite's Sharon Graham told the BBC at the TUC's annual conference in Brighton that the government needed to be ''big enough and brave enough'' to admit they have made a mistake. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg5rl612n5o

The nasty party want to punish anyone who wants private education, because they know educated people wont vote Labour.
Labour want kids in low poor quality education so they can brainwash them in to the lefty mentality, whereas educated people can do the maths, they know when a Labour government puts its General Election manifesto forward that the sums don't add up.
Labour rely on poor educated people not being able to work that out, hence they want to keep kids as poorly educated as they can, that's why they are targeting Grammar Schools, and private education, another reason they want their boat loads of illegal migrants amnesty because they are the next Labour voters, they will brainwash them in to Labour supporters ... and before the outraged lefties kick off, I'm not saying all Labour supporters are uneducated and thick, but I'm sure those ones are enjoying the trappings and perks of being a Labour serving government, so they will keep stum.
I guess you engage mostly with the Grammar school educated well-to-do. Those of us who mix in wider circles know it's schtum... You are simply stereotyping with little or no knowledge about Private Schools pure envy, it matters not how much money you may have if your child cannot pass the Entrance Exam your child will not be accepted full stop, if they do and later struggle to keep up as the work gets harder the parents will be told to withdraw their child to protect them from all the stress. If you have a gifted child that is able to pass the Entrance Exam and cannot pay the fees some Private Schools provide give them a Bursary they will offer them a place free of charge, many people work more than one job to pay the fees to pay for their education, they go without to do so, some Private Schools will no lomger be able to afford to do that if Labour screw about with them on VAT etc As for Grammar Schools , Labour closed many of them down Prescott saw to that out of spite he failed the 11 plus, people will move to a different area to get their kids into the better performing schools, sadly far to many State Schools are failing many children they leave school with poor educational skills making it hard for them to get good employment. Starmer himself I believe benefited from a free place at a very good school

What person in their right mind, let alone our Prime Minister would make such a absurd comment 'Happy to be unpopular' Happy?
Happy that millions of pensioners will freeze to death, to use the word 'Happy' in such serious and unpleasant circumstances is just the caliber of this unpleasant uncaring callous impassive individual, who is a poor excuse for a human being.

Well he’s doing well at it . The unions are kicking off about Labour snatching the heating allowance and his cunning plan to give ‘ right wingers ‘ prison sentences has overburdened and already struggling prison system. Everything he touches turns to shit .

The Tories have been in power for 14 years — how come they didn't realise system wasn't working until their last year in power...?

The Tories have been in power for 14 years — how come they didn't realise system wasn't working until their last year in power...? That’s a question you should ask them and not use it as a diversion from the painful fact that the party who said they could do a better job has just got the job .

The Tories have been in power for 14 years — how come they didn't realise system wasn't working until their last year in power...? They may have been in power but it was the lefty Councils who have been in charge, nearly every lefty council in the country is bust or going bust, most of these failings were not Tory policy, the Tories handed money to the lefty councils and they did what they are best at....... wasted it, along with sheer utter incompetence.

I wonder if Starlin will be equally happy to be out on his arse. Un-populism results in we-sack-you-lism. Only a matter of time.
