A teenager accused of murdering schoolgirl Elianne Andam shortly after she stepped off a bus in Croydon last year can be named for the first time. Hassan Sentamu, 18, is accused of stabbing Elianne, 15, to death as she was making her way to school on September 27. When she got off a bus Sentamu was waiting for her, he removed a large knife from his waistband and repeatedly stabbed Elianne. In court he pleaded not guilty to murder and not guilty to possessing a blade in a public place. link
Welcome to Khan's wonderfully multicultural London, one of the safest cities in the world... Hassan Sentamu (R) has admitted killing Elianne Andam (L) but denies her murder.

'Hassan Sentamu (R) has admitted killing Elianne Andam (L) but denies her murder.'
How does that work - did she accidentally jump on to a knife that he happened to be waving around?

How does that work - did she accidentally jump on to a knife that he happened to be waving around? Well yes, precisely. He also denies carrying the knife he used to murder her! Hopefully his denials will result in a longer sentence.

IMHO
Quite often the Defence will ask the Court to accept a Manslaughter plea as an alternative charge to Murder, sometimes the Crown will accept it as well, as to prove Murder the Crown has to prove " Intent to Kill"
It appears to me IMHO the Court and the Crown has said bollocks he stabbed her more than once IMHO that is serious intent
Murder carries a Life sentence, so can Manslaughter. hopefully the Jury will convict him of murder, what defence can he mount he's tracked her down and ambushed her

Will be interesting to see what sentence is given. Well if convicted he will get 25 years . Thats the minimum for killing with a knife .

Murder someone? Should get whole life. After all, the victims lose the rest of theirs.

Heres another one who poor soul has struggled since coming here and his record begs the question of why he hasn’t been sent packing so he struggles no longer. At that earlier sentencing hearing the judge said it was clear from reports he had read that Stanciu had struggled to adapt to life in the UK after arriving in 2018 link

And it's hard to see how deliberately stabbing someone could be anything less than an intention to cause serious injury.
