English fertility rates

I keep on hearing this argument about the need for immigration in order to provide working age people to man the various professions. When listening to the well worn out stock system argument, you are never told why. So why are the English not having babies? This thread is not really one of my rocket science threads, cos we all know what it takes to have a baby. It's taught at school as well so there is no excuse for not knowing - lol.

Anyway, during my voyage of discovery to unlock this mystery as they say on prole vision, I thought I would investigate this situation locally, to see what is going on. Our town is a market town and as it had been from time immemorial, a market town is where everything happens. Folk live out in the various surrounding villages and the market town is the focal point of social life, for shopping, entertainment and so on. For many years we have had this music festival. Young people go each year to socialise and enjoy themselves. It dawned on me immediately why the is a fertility problem. Taking a virtual tour around I see everyone is dressed like ragbags. The girls look as ugly as sin. They wear men's clothes, not one of them has a figure. They are fat, poorly kempt, don't look too healthy and there is absolutely nothing that would make a man look at them and think, cor she's sexy.

Now suppose I go back in time to as far back as the 80s and 90s time. Where you would go to an average social event you would get a mixture of people and from a bloke's point of view, a mixture of women too, and some were surely dogs. However there were others that you simply could not keep your eyes off. I'm sure they knew it too, but the point is the women made an effort to look presentable and also the men did as well, although appearance has always been a girl's forte, often spending considerable time getting ready before going out. This lot looked more like a band of Romanian refugees that had not had a proper meal in 6 months.

So to conclude, there appears to be two factors at play. The one is the way they look after themselves and make an effort to look presentable, but probably more important I'd say was the physical body differences. Women should have an hourglass shape to their body. They should have thin legs. I mean given the choice between a sexy looking women dressed in rags and a fat ugly women dressed in expensive clothes, clearly the former is far more important, but I think they are somewhat linked as in the body looks so awful that it isn't worth shopping in anywhere better than the legendary Primark.

By the way, this thread is in the Mind Zone because I do want a serious discussion on the subject. I'm just expressing it here as one thinks about it. For a man, if there is never a reason to go chasing that woman he will likely conclude she may bring trouble and misfortune, but not trade that with anything a man wants. A man can sacrifice a maintenance bill and other inconveniences if he has the woman of his dreams and will look after her. No attraction - no deal.
