Murder is prohibited by just about every religion that has survived until now ( afaik) apart from the church of Satan . If the Christian church abided by the Ten Commandments it would never had survived as a viable institution. Doesn't the Old Testament support the death penalty and list various capital offences — including
idolatry, magic and blasphemy,
