This is just a quick one. What the hell is is?
I switched on Radio 4 the other day and it was just starting some interview and was running through a quick biography of some guest. In quick succession it listed the main facts of this man's life, and it began, "After training for the priesthood he joined the IRA".
Now just have a think about that for a moment.
Fact one - he is Irish
The church trains him and then he wants to join the IRA. What is it about the Irish Catholic Church's training for priesthood that makes you want to plant bombs under people's cars and kill and maim innocent members of the public and their children out Christmas shopping?
How mad are the Irish?

It would appear that there are/were IRA apologists among the Catholic clergy in Ireland — a stance just as remarkable as yours with the PRC...

Well England and Wales are not Catholic, that might be a place to start.

They’re also mainly not church, chapel, mosque, temple, or synagogue (and the rest) goers.
Let’s hope religion is now preaching common sense and bringing comfort where it’s wanted rather than ruining lives…

Stereotypical Crap if you think the Irish are all strong supporters of the IRA you are wrong very wrong and not all Irish are Catholics , his name is Patrick Ryan now in his 90's his Mother was a staunch supporter of the IRA since the uprising in the South , that is who influenced him He bought small timers and gave them to the IRA to make IRA bombs more accurately timed detonation, he was instrumental in arranging a huge shipment of arms from Gaddafi into Ireland, he collected money for them an odious man that has the blood of many on his hands Google him and find out what he did

It's the Irish interpretation of the commandment that thou shalt not kill which is "Irish". Also the dubious claim that he got priesthood training. Most Christians don't even get that and still get the correct meaning of the commandments. It's just the one of many incidents where the English rightly question what planet that country is living on!

Murder is prohibited by just about every religion that has survived until now ( afaik) apart from the church of Satan . If the Christian church abided by the Ten Commandments it would never had survived as a viable institution.

Which bit of many Religious Wars and many different religions have gone to war against other religions over the years world wide do you not understand and its is still happening , we the English went to war during the Crusades we also fought invaders that landed on our shores the Vikings, Romans, the Normans, even the German Nazi's had " God with us on their belt buckles " they wanted to kill all Jews who are Christians. Some of the Irish that I know may want a United Ireland but do not want it to come about via going to war and bloodshed, the new generation like the peace they do not want anymore violence, the Loyalists Protestants in the North were just as bad as the IRA. IMO Their are many different nationalities living in the South of Ireland in this day and age , and I am one of them

He sounded like a military dictator. A real man of the church is at peace with himself. I did not see any peace in his head.

How long have you held the delusion that you could read minds .
Paisley was the son of a Baptist minister and a Scottish preacher. He attended the South Wales evangelism school and was ordained as a minister in 1946 at the age of 20. [2] In the early 1950s, he founded the Free Presbyterian Church and became its elected spokesman. He also founded his own newspaper, the Protestant Telegraph. The largest Protestant unionist party in Northern Ireland today (2014), the Democratic Unionist Party (Democratic Unionist Party; DUP), goes back to him; he was its chairman from 1971 to 2008.
You still don't get it do you, the conflict in Ireland was not just because Catholics were treated very badly by the Protestants it was because the IRA wanted a united Ireland and still do

The Irish way of uniting people is to blow them up.
By the way, you are still trying to insult me. I would advise you to kick the habit. It weakens your arguments. Those who only win arguments by insult are similar in nature to the IRA.

If you keep making silly remarks and spouting nonsense what else do you expect, you obviously do not understand, the Protestants in the North Loyalists are British Citizens and proud of it, not Irish.

I've had enough insults for today. If you would like to discuss stuff, then fine, but your personal attacks make you look immature. I can't be bothered to read it.

Doesn't the Old Testament support the death penalty and list various capital offences — including idolatry, magic and blasphemy,
Man was made like God, so whoever murders a man will be killed by his fellow-man.
— Exodus 21:23
The punishment shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. — Exodus 21:23
