It’s the old chestnut firm the same old lefties who tell us we need immigrants because we are lazy . Same old lies , same old liars The liars are the ones who choose to ignore the damage to the NHS done by Conservative governments and exacerbated by Brexit, and then choose denigration when some answers are found in immigration. The answers never were in immigration, certainly not mass immigration. People like you never cease to amuse me with your fixed opinions.lol.

How did a change in finances make the deal any better or not? - the costs of the deal remained the same. If I contract a guy to change a lightbulb for a £100, my personal finances do not determine whether that is a good deal or not. If the cash is available to pay the bills, then there is no problem. Economics of the madhouse - nobody knows what is around the corner so to base your spending decisions on what you can afford at one specific point in time, rather than good value, is lunacy of the highest order.

I have never said it was, I posted "when some answers are found in immigration", and some answers have been, even by the Tories. I accept that you do not have the mental capacity to understand. Mass immigration is the product of asylum seekers and international law, that you don't have the ability to be objective continuously undermines what little credibility you may have.

Hindsight makes you so arrogant. The Banks were overflowing with money and Financial Services where very lucrative. It was a brand new world of economics. Bearing in mind that the Conservative Party and the industrialists were in favour of New Labour's approach and the Germans were interested in buying into the UK economic success, then even a 'normal recession' would not have been a problem. So all you have is the arrogance of hindsight, which belittles the level of your intelligence.

If you take out a mortgage at 2% interest in the expectation that rates will remain at the level for the entirety of the mortgage term then you are a fool. Economic cycles come and go - that is where Blair and Brown went wrong, they had convinced themselves they had abolished the economic cycle and there would be no more financial downturns. That was foolish.

If you were not a doddery old leftie who cannot read a sentence, you might have worked out that the first part of it says the answer never was in immigration at all . So I never said you did say it was in mass immigration . if you don’t have the ability to read a sentence , you undermine any possible effort not to laugh at you .

It seems abundantly clear that they don't. Economic downturns were not the problem, it is silly to suggest they were.

You included 'mass immigration in your whinge. If you were not limited to about 20 seconds of attention, you might actually put a worthwhile post together.

Yes it was, it was big denigrating whinge. If you were not so quick to lie and denigrate, in typical arrogant Rightist fashion, you might find a way to debate in a reasonable manner. But it looks like my decision to give Rightists a taste of their own medicine has really upset you

It certainly wasn't connected debate. I guess other users of the forum will have had enough of your WUM approach on this issue, so this stage is all yours BYE.

You have just spent the last 3 pages claiming that Blairs PFI deals only ended up a bad investment due to an economic downturn. If you are now admitting they were a bad deal irrespective of the economic environment, well we all welcome a repenting sinner.

Not just an economic downturn, but the worst finamcial recession for 60 years, that was threatening to turn into a depression. I have not indicated, never mind admitted, in any way that PFIs were a bad deal (except for the very early ones) so stop deluding yourself and try acknowledging what I actually posted.
