What ? Actually, I don’t mind being a bit dollaly. One of the grand daughters has just sent me the proof of why the error in a poll is given by the square root of the sample and with clever kids like that, I don’t see why I should bother thinking for myself and am quite happy to wander quietly into lala land. Still, I do like to see the NHS getting the occasional kick in the wedding tackle, if only for the good of its well meaning but pompous soul How do you guys feel about the matter ? www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c75nry66y52o

It’s mostly for old people . If it was for black , lesbian/ trans Muslims then the cost would not be a problem

NICE guidelines are that any treatment can cost no more than £15,000 for every year of additional "life" it gives. At £20k per year for the drugs and about the same for all the scans required for it to be used safely it's definitely too expensive. Unfortunately the NHS is funded out of taxation so there have to be constraints on spending.
It's just a pity that they threw away the guidelines for lockdown - which cost vastly more than NICE would have agreed to.

If we were not bankrupt due to all shades of government then we could afford it, this is an example of the bill you pick up when the government turns a blind eye to billionairres giving lifts to boat people.
