You don't get growth by raising taxes to pay for huge pay increases in the public sector. That's a recipe for recession. Also the BoE is continuing to dump gpvt bonds which raises the cost of govt borrowing (for no reason) and also leads to recession.

Slim down the public sector, get rid of middle management in the NHS, abolish dedicated HR staff and have Doctors and nurses do the recruitment and the paperwork.
Cut middle management in the Police.
Cut the civil service.
Those who are paid by the state are not generating new taxes, they're paid from taxation. Middle management are the least important tax paid jobs.

JP Morgan bumped up their growth forecasts for the UK economy in the third quarter of this year following last week’s GDP figures.
The investment bank now expects the economy to grow 0.4 per cent between July and September, up from a previous estimate of 0.3 per cent. This equates to an annualised growth rate of 1.5 per cent.
