I have a conjecture for you.
Lets first of all consider a few things.
On the really big issues we are rarely told the truth. Lets try a thought experiment where we discard all they have told us. Suppose every last thing is utter shit.
Let's remember there are many cases where in history many years later the truth was uncovered about why a certain powers took certain actions. A lot of declassified documents give a markedly different interpretation to what was in the common public knowledge of the time. Sometimes we find the motivation was personal, as in treachery, greed, blackmail and all the dirty things, but often it is not, and the powers of the time had to take action A to save B, where the negatives of A are much less than the consequences of B. An example of the former was the oil crisis of 73, where an example of the latter was the UK's repayment of the WW2 US debt. Neither cases could be discussed at the time and the public were miles off the mark. Sometimes the government gets accused of incompetence and they have to suffer the charge because they can not say the real reason, so they just have to play the fool for the camera.
An important observation is the third world immigration policy has been consistent for a long time and across many western nations.
Note in Eastern nations like Japan and China, they do not appear to be following the same policy.
It appears the policy came in circa 70s time. The big question is why.
OK one group of reasons would be for sociological reasons.
There is another group of reasons we could label under resources though. That is a decision taken for economic reasons. Could it be something to do with these third world countries contain vast amounts of the world's minerals, and there are some minerals we just can't do without, e.g. cobalt is often cited, but there are others, like plain old copper. Copper can be mined in many places, but it is an example of something we don't just need, but need in vast quantities, so our western mines would not fit the bill.

Sure - but this suggests something pretty duplicitous
That both the populations of the west and the third world are 'dupes' for mining deals carried on ever their head. The western populations are paying for resources with their territory and those in third world countries are not being paid. This is not a deal any sensible person would accept because without your territory, you can't really enjoy the benefits of the deal.
I do agree with you in a limited sense - the arrangement is almost certainly the result of somebody (group) selling our territory to another somebody (group). My view is that it is criminal.

Carers - Brits don't want the jobs.
Construction - builders wanted that work fast with minimal breaks.
Doctors and dentists - needed as too many of ours bugger off to the US, Aus or Canada once qualified so we end up with a shortage. I don't think they pay off thier student loans either.
Hospitality - foreign workers are normally more friendly or better adjusted.
Students - pay three times our students rate and because of Brexit it is the rest of the world and their families.
Then we have the UN refugee quota plus the boat people.
Lastly rich people using the UK as a bolt hole when their country goes through a rough time.

Temporary work visas and no dependants would see hundreds of thousands still desperate to come. Most people do not want low paid jobs, if you wish to have specific vacancies filled you increase wages to suit. That is not rocket science. It seemed idiotic to allow 20% reduction for foreign staff to come in to do a job and seems a clear case of undercutting British wage earners

We are letting millions of immigrants in for one simple reason, we are not having enough children and the population has become top heavy.
The West has become about the individual, instead of the family, nothing can change that now... every experiment to promote more children fails.

You do not need an experiment you have to have a system whereby one parent can stay at home and the other can work and earn enough. Failing that what you also have to have is a close knit community whereby children can live close to relatives who can muck in and look after nephews and nieces, grandchildren, siblings etc. That was destroyed by large scale immigration that destroyed communities by having bigger families in immigrant groups and broke up these communities because the criteria of being 'local' was ignored for social housing That was notable in the 60s and was hard at it by the 70s and 80s. We are where we are as a consequence of the immigration and housing policies of the latter part of the 20th century mainly operated by Labour councils who seemed to not care one whit for those who actually voted for them

It was fiercely objected to as well. The fertility rate took a big dive in the 70s. It's a joined up policy alright, so we can see it is not just the work of the mad people and mad people don't rule anyway. To me it looks like planned destruction of our Western way of life, but why? I know some of the African leaders want to do to us what they see we did to them. I've seen them stand up and say this quite recently in fact.

There also seems to be a number of foreign people on programs like escape to the Country.

Kids look to at least match thier parents lifestyle yet property prices have gone ballistic and salaries have not so many just have 1 child families at least in London - M25 area.

At the time of covid a great number of restrictions were placed on travel and the like, and so those running business in China along with all the other things they do there left and went back home and never returned. He says streets and places where you would see many of them seem to have reverted back to Chinese people. It was suggested the US hostile attitude and their sanctions was partly to blame and the other thing was the government made it more difficult to get a work permit. This would not apply to rich people with strong connections to China, but more your freeloader unqualified English teacher (scallies basically). This guy was more your nomad capitalist type, so he would be in touch with the more wealthy ones. Americans are especially leaving. The relationship between US and Chinese people might well have gone a tad colder. It's people power in China. You are their guest.

The ridiculous Chinese lockdowns led to many people fleeing - expats and locals..
The Chinese are the fastest growing nationality applying for asylum at the US southern Border.
