I'll roughly paraphrase what he said.
1) Peace is always better than war. 2) Sometimes it is necessary to have a war.
It reminds me of modern day Christian statements on LGBT. You get them telling you it is "difficult". No mate it is supposed to be what the Bible says, namely killing is wrong and so is LGBT. The bible never recommends you go through life being ambivalent about your faith. It comes close to passing false witness. You are supposed to be fearless cos God is backing you all the way and no one can mess with you. See also what the bible says about the coward.

Strange topic to put in the Parliament section. Not really. The church is supposed to be a part of it. Welby is frightened of upsetting the warmongers so he sits on the fence with the cowards and says two opposite things in order to please everyone. |
