.... by David Mencer (an Israeli spokesman). He said that Ms Hussein would win the award for the most poro-Palestinian reporter as she blindly repeated what terrorist organisations told her. The BBC defended her saying that she "was asking legitimate questions in a professional, fair and courteous manner".
She was asking questions about how many women and children had been killed in a recent attack on a Gaza school. Of course Hamas claim many women and children were killed - he said that none were.
As I've said before Ms Husain is perfectly OK if she is kept away from subjects on which she obviously - as a muslim - has a biased view. Her bias is so obvious it's painful and she obviously gets angry. I simply cannot understand why the BBC doesn't understand this. Basically a muslim should not be on the BBC's flagship political program. This should be obvious. But if the BBC are determined to have her on the program she should not be allowed to take part in reports that involve muslims. Blindingly obvious.

I think every journalist, reporter, producer, editor and commentator will have a standpoint and we have seen that with the style of reporting and interviewing that goes on all the time. You can feel the antipathy come over in some interviews it was at its most obvious with Nick Griffin when the likes of Paxman and Coburn were very abrupt and unpleasant and very directed. It indicates an inability to be detached and ask pertinent questions but I do not think Hussain is alone in that it shines through most interviews most notably now with Farage and Reform.

True but the likes of Coburn, Paxman (and David Dimbleby) attacked Nick Griffin for being "racist". It was just a kneejerk reaction to someone that they regarded as "racist" - and they usually came armed with loads of examples of what Griffin had said that they regarded as racist (rightly or wrongly).
With Ms Husein there is a basic difference in that the Israelis are attacking the Palestinians because the Palestinians are constantly perpetrating terrorist attacks on them. And the problem is that the Hamas terrorists are using the Palestinians as "human shields". So they hide in hospitals and schools and areas populated by civilians.
What Husain can't seem to grasp is that Israel are not going to let Hamas get away with it. They do their utmost not to kill civilians but there will necessarily be collateral damage. This is the only way to defeat terrorism and the Isrealis have the balls to do it. We fought the URA for decades but we didn't have the balls to just send in the SAS and bloody well sort them out once and for all. It would haveonly taken a few weeks. We were afraid of "our standing in the world". Netanyahu is very single minded.
