If you have to ask that then you certainly have a problem. Are you sure? The appointment is a 'temporary' one. From your website. The watchdog considers appointments outside the usual process in the case of temporary hires, secondments or a candidate with specialist skills. A spokesperson for the Civil Service Commission said: “This temporary appointment was approved by the commission, recognising the need for the civil service to quickly bring in relevant skills for a fixed term. All appointments by exception are reminded of their responsibilities under the civil service code to act with impartiality, objectivity, integrity and honesty.” The commission’s interim chief executive, Kate Owen, wrote in a blog post on its website that it was the responsibility of government departments to vet candidates. “The department – as the employer – is responsible for carrying out background checks on individuals who may be appointed by exception. The department is also responsible for addressing any potential propriety matters,” she wrote.

Pillock. He was appointed a treasury director, a roll that is reserved for career civil servants. Or in the case of Labour, a position that can be secured for as little as £20 grand. You must be very proud.

So you choose to ignore the reality that I posted from the website you posted, (of cause its not YOUR website, just the one that YOU posted) not difficult to understand. The evidence that came from the Civil Service, proves that you are absolutely and totally wrong.

Did anyone really expect propriety and ethics from Labour - the party with none? Did anyone expect honest objectivity in your posts, I don't see any.

Evidently not, that might be the problem, whatever crystal clear evidence is produced to show you the incompetence, venility, corruption and deceitfulness of the Labour Party you simply just can't see it. If you genuinely think that Labour will be a force for good in this country your must be deluded or you are an AI bot thing programmed to object to the obvious.

And you choose to ignore that it matters little if he was there for a fortnight or forty years it is corrupt and that is why there is a disconnect between all of Westminster and the plebs and why it needs reforms. Btw the civil service isn’t what it says on the tin,it is there to serve not what it approves of.
