A Labour-run council has imposed a controversial new order which threatens on-the-spot fines of £100 for swearing in the street. Thanet District Council is facing a legal challenge after adopting a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) that bans behaviour that might “distress” people. linkOn the face of it lefties will say good idea, who wants to hear some chav shouting profanities in the street. But read the small print, PSPO orders ban any behaviour that people may find distressing. Think about that for a moment... ...'banning any behaviour that someone else may find distressing' It's insane. Is this really what Labour voters voted for? This is classic authoritarian left wing Labour, and I'm sure Starmer approves.

It’s less about people who might be distressed than a money making excercise,I read recently that a couple found that somebody had fly tipped a large amount of rubbish in the street they live in it was strewn everywhere. Being civic minded they collected it all up in various boxes for the council to come and remove, they did and at least one of the boxes had their address on so the council fined them over£1000 for littering.

I understand where you're comming from, but I tend to think it's more sinister than that. This about 'control', think about it... "banning any behaviour that someone else may find distressing"... for an authoritarian Labour council the possibilities over what may or may not be distressing are endless. Could someone be distressed by the sight of a union jack tee shirt for instance? If some limp wristed lefty says he's distressed by it then his complaint complies with the PSPO and the nasty far right union jack tee shirt wearer is landed with a £100 fine and warned never to wear a union jack tee shirt again. That sounds ridiculous, but that's what a PSPO does.

I suspect that being distressed by the site of an 18 stone biological male in a mini skirt and crop shouting anti Israel slogans top would be a hate crime .

I find a bloke dressed up as a woman distressing, will the Tranny be fined? Somehow I doubt it. In fact, I believe under this government uttering the 'T' word, even in private, will get you two years in prison.

Indeed, but it wont last, I honestly believe the insanity of woke and all this gender madness will end. Sensible people are sick of it.
