Sunak has quit, he is silent. The tories say nothing about everything, the infiltration of the left into the Tories has done its job, Cameron, Osbourne etc, im sure now that those who want a centrist party are in the majority, centrist is left.
There is a vacuum, to vote Reform is now racist etc. To be white, tory is a crime. The left has done a wondrous job destroying the opposition, its always been good at that, going back to the Bolsheviks and the whites in 1918 or whenever.
Britain is done.

One of the most remarkable things of the last election was James McMurdock, who is now a Reform MP. If there are any media people reading, I'd suggest he would make a fantastic interview subject. Apparently all he did was go out campaigning with his mother. He never had any campaign team behind him and he was new to the game as well. One thing I suspect though is he is very intelligent, since all I know was he had a high paying banking job before being MP and I know the banks have so much cash they can choose the top people. The remarkable thing is the proles who don't have harldy any cash also chose the right person. His abilities must have been apparent on the doorstep. It is this that gives me hope. For many years UKIP/Brexit Party etc tried and failed to get a single MP even with all the party behind then, and yet he just walks it.

The appointment of the next leader will say it all, Jenrick seems to be favourite, he cant make up his mind what he is. He will be a lefty stooge, not conservative, and he has a backbone made of tissue paper.

I don't necessarily disagree, but lets not forget parliament is in recess and MP's do traditionally go on hols in summer recess.

We are not done ,we are just starting. That may be very true, the next couple of years will tell.

Like labour and the far left, the corbyn crew, the Tories are now soaked in left mps, Cameron saw to that when recruiting new parliamentary candidates. Starmer, Blair hada plan to rid Labour of overty communists, the Tories now need something similar. Will it happen?, no.

The ones to avoid would be Badenough, Mordaunt, Shapps, Tugendhat, Johnson, Patel and Braverman. Jenrick seems to have a brain and a reasonably level head. The backbones made of paper are the ones who are intellectually weak and rely on the advice of others for their political survival.

As already pointed out, being a sitting mp was a pre-qualification, so two of your list were ineligible anyways. And as for Robert Jenrick, a brain and a reasonable level head that he didn't employ when taking a bribe on a housing development...

I think in 10-15 years time the Tories will be back in government.
Not because they're lovely, or wonderful, but because democracy requires rearranging deckchairs even when the options aren't great. There are still some very capable politicians in the party, they just need to come to the front.
