I think that needs some context, most of the searches are carried out in London and inner city schools where the black population is significantly higher. If we related the strip search figures to the local population figures, as they do for stop and search, then a different figure may emerge. But would you expect to see such outcomes in a justice system which is supposedly prejudiced in favor of ethnic minorities?

If all the searches were carried out in inner cities it may be skewed the other way. Outcomes depend on clearly having facts and this fact is at best uncertain

As is all of the broad statistical data I've seen so far.

As is all of the broad statistical data I've seen so far. Of course it is but then that is the intent and if it is not intent it is pretty useless statistical data. Let us say that all searches are carried out evenly across the country then the data would make sense and be indicative of a problem. But it is not it is largely carried out in areas where the black population is significantly higher than the National norm so to then relate that to the National norm is statistical rubbish if one is seeking to present a trend. At least stop and search relates in some instances to local area populations although even that has very obvious flaws. If you carry out a thousand searches on standard criteria and most of those are in areas of inner cities then it is idiotic and statistical rubbish to draw a conclusion on a national basis.
