By the way, the white English (None muslim) chap who was arrested and in record time charged, put before the courts, found guilty and sentenced to three years for assaulting a police officer, didn't actually assault a police officer. He punched a police officers riot shield. He was then forced to the ground handcuffed and carted off. Rowley and Starmer say we don't have two tier policing in this country. Clearly, the evidence suggests otherwise. |

The police, the CPS, Home Office and judges are deliberately handing down harsh sentencing to teach these people a lesson, and to act as a deterant, and its working. A person who confronts police officers and acts in an aggessive or confrontational way deserves what they get I watched a BBC Northeast Look North report tonight in which a former Chief Constable of Northumberland was interviewed, and when asked about so called "two tier policing', she laughed and said that it was "rubbish" and that the police act without fear or favour. The Manchester Airport incident is a completely separate issue, and is still on-going, the rioting warranted and got swift action from the powers that be to stop it from carrying on. |

I'm not entirely convinced, but I will assume you're being serious. Are you seriously suggesting he should in record time have been arrested, charged, put before the court and sentenced to three years in prison for something he might have done if the police officer had not been protected by his riot shield? And what are your thoughts on those two Pakistanis who on camera viciously beat up two police officers? |

So the guy got 26 months because his partner kicked an officer in the shins numerous times. FFS the desperation to defend this nonsense gets ever greater. it reads like a Laurel and Hardy script Kicked him in the chins tried to steal his radio gave him a Chinese burn, stamped on his big toe and knocked his helmet off? |

Not sure which part of the country thomas lives in However I live in the BBC Northeast region ( Look North Northeast ) and watched a report on tonights programme about the gay couple who were jailed by Teesside Magistrates. The post by thomas omitts certain detail, including how Mr Shears attampted to kick police officers, and how one of them attempted to snatch an officers radio. Mr shears was filmed shouting at officers, goading officers, refusing to move back when asked, the partner of Shears kicked an officer in the shins numerous times. I have just double checked these details on BBC IPlayer ... they were not merely passers-by, they actively got involved in the violent disorder, and are now paying for it. Yes the sentencing of all involved in the past weeks rioting is harsh, maximum sentencing, no mercy, good isn't it ? Jesus wept. You're concerned with two batty men kicking an officer in the shins like a little old lady, but where was your self-righteous outrage when Pakistani's broke a police officer's nose at Manchester airport? That's right, locked away in that vault of hypocrisy. Well done you we're safer with two gays off the streets, but your two-tier standards say it all when you aren't demanding the same justice of Pakistani's assaulting police officers. You like Starmer, are a moral coward. |
