You've mentioned no facts at all when raising the Australian/New Zealand FTA. None whatsoever. You're a fraud in debating terms. Pork, or gammon in your case cannot be educated. I'll leave you to wallow in your EU-echo chamber with Gnome where you can both flick each other's beans in the hope the UK rejoins the EU. Tatty bye. The UK won't be rejoining the EU any time soon, Bubbles. The EU won't allow it. The momentum is currently in a different direction. And the momentum is building on an almost weekly basis. Tell me about these FTA with Australia and New Zealand then?

Tell me about these FTA with Australia and New Zealand then? It was the best of times,* it was the worst of times*... *For Australia and New Zealand * For the UK

Interesting that in that poll only a third of voters want to rejoin the EU - seems you have a mountain to climb. LOL! It's much better than expected. The majority want a Switzerland-type deal, which includes FOM. If you are happy with 33% support for your aims then who am I to contradict you. Seems it's like a win-win all around - the Independence supporters are happy we will not be joining the EU and the EU supporters are happy we will not be joining the EU...

Great, we're all happy, then! Let's work together to make the Swiss-type deal happen! Apparently not. Even Starmer recognises that re-joining the SM won't boost economic growth for the UK. Read it and weep Whoiney. “But let’s just recognise that the low growth in our economy has been going on for 12 years. It preceded Brexit, it preceded Covid and it preceded Ukraine. There is something fundamental about the way our economy works.” www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/dec/05/reversing-brexit-now-would-not-help-uk-economy-says-keir-starmer

I'm not sure the news has reached your country yet, but we have left - gone - vamoosed - Elvis has left the building. As there is no chance of the UK rejoining the EU or having a Swiss style relationship in the foreseeable future your constant dreaming of that happening is rather sad. It's like me dreaming of winning the lottery even though I dont do it.

I'm not sure the news has reached your country yet, but we have left - gone - vamoosed - Elvis has left the building. Try to keep up, Doc. One foot is still firmly in the EU (NI), and the other is slowly inching its way back. It won't fully return for some time, for the simple reason that the EU won't allow it. But it will be quite comfortable on a stepping stone in the meantime.

From whoiney to dreamy.
Yet remains on stage one of the 5 stages of grief.
It's going to take this one a long time to grieve.

So what? The EU also doesn't have deals with the USA or India - and probably never will. And it's better to get the right deal rather than any deal. You can't judge how well we're doing by the number of "deals" we have got. It's whether they're advantageous or not. The post was apparently about the government's failure to reach its target on trade deals.
