But he didn't just "attack some white folk" - he attacked some little white girls who were dancing to Taylor Swift. Which looks very like the Salman Abedi attack on the Arianna Grande concert - and we hear that ISIS have targeted some Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna, so they've had to be cancelled. It does seem to be a red rag to the muslims. But I doubt if we're ever going to be told if this guy was motivated by muslim ideology. The police will cover it up. That is probably right, community cohesion demands it and people finding out they were right to be angry with Islam in the first place would be too many steps too far. If it was not Islam then what was it, racism or something else? It is odds on it will be a mental health issue. So you cannot consider it is a racist attack lol. You can be mentally ill and still be a racist. If you are a muslim and you target non-muslims that is a racist attack... racism isn't just about the colour of skin... it is about attacking ethically different people too... ie they are attacking "the west".

I did not say that, I asked what else it could be and included racism, If a Muslim targets a non-Muslim that is not racism. Ethnic differences are not solely dependent on religion. A Muslim from Iraq can be an apostate and be attacked as a non-Muslim by people from his ethnic group that is not racism. A change in belief does not change your ethnicity as religion has an input into ethnicity but is not the deciding factor

That's the red rag to the killjoys.

If the attacker turns out to be mentally ill or an Islamic extremist it doesn't change the fact that it was a racist attack. He didn't just open his front door and attack the first person he came across... he armed himself and he travelled... so it's a TARGETTED RACIST ATTACK!

I do not disagree but in terms of the law there has to be evidence of racism other than just the difference between attacker and victims although in many instances racism is the easy conclusion. They are all legal points and to be a racially aggravated crime there has to be some evidence of it. I think if there is evidence it may well always remain hidden and the same goes for any Islamic input. The risks to social cohesion are just too great to bring it into the public domain. If there is evidence they will find it extremely difficult to hide so I think Mental Illness is almost certainly the go to motive which can hide all as is the regular outcome.

Like my original post said... when you deny the obvious you allow the bad actors to control the narrative. There is too much "denying the obvious" right now.
