Suella Braverman received the required ten nominations to stand for party leader, but has chosen not to stand. She says current Tory MP's do not understand that voters [Conservative voters] lost faith not least all because of immigration and gender ideology. That is the reason the Tory party refuse to allow party members to vote for party leader. They know damned well Suella would be a shoo in. Does it matter? The Tories have at least ten years in the wilderness — unless they can get a leader of the calibre of Starmer, who can rid them of disrupters, and concentrate on getting the party back to concentrating on its core values… get a leader of the calibre of Starmer,I think that's the funniest thing I've read this week on any media

Seems Starmers only 'core value' is saying anything to get elected. Ooh, that's a bit unfair.
I'd say that he's amply demonstrated his core commitments to open door immigration and the destruction of British society.
I mean, the Tories managed a slow decline over 14 years while "Two-Tier Keir" has smashed it in 4 weeks.

More an epithet that comes to mind with certain posters on here...

One month in Starmer's/Labour's election priorities remain: • Clean energy • NHS — ambulances arriving within seven minutes for cardiac arrest, meeting four-hour A&E waiting targets and high GP satisfaction ratings
• Highest G7 growth (in a meaningful sense, not from its current low level) • Opportunity for all — increase numbers of school-leavers going into work, study or apprenticeships; abolish private school tax breaks to pay for teachers; end non-dom status to fund primary breakfast clubs.
• Safer streets — currently being tested...

I'd not seen the pledges before but I can't really imagine the UK being transformed into a 'force for International peace and justice', so I'd select that last part of Pledge 4 as a pie in the sky no-hoper.

So, given that the election was a month ago, which of those are not going to happen — when there’s likely to be at least four more years…? So when is the top rate of income tax going to be increased by 5%? - especially as he has already ruled it out. When is Universal credit going to be abolished? - especially as he has already ruled it out. What about nationalising energy and water - when are you expecting those to happen - especially as he has already ruled it out. How many times do you have to be told something is not going to happen before you believe it?

What about nationalising energy and water - when are you expecting those to happen - especially as he has already ruled it out. How many times do you have to be told something is not going to happen before you believe it? As pointed out before, this government has been in power for one month. Implementing undertakings made four years ago need both time and evaluation — eg, ways of increasing tax take on high earners will have to be devised, abolishing Universal Credit and its associated sanctions requires a replacement to be in place, Nationalism is one form of Common Ownership, but by no means the only, or the preferred, one.
I reckon 12 months or a couple of budgets in will likely give enough time to make sensible judgements...

They have had 4 years to evaluate what they want to do - and have specifically ruled out any changes to those issues.
Face it Pat - you were taken for a ride..
