Yes officers had been assaulted but does that warrant the action of the police afterwards . What ended up in a possible life threating incident. Oh what a pity. If our society weren't tied in knots by idiotic third world memetic scams, he would likely have been shot at the scene. Is that with you the colour of the victim is most important

Anything to say TTL on the events leading up to the arrests and you regurgitating old news or perhaps a reply if Wasim Chaudry is part of the white racist scum you so despise or are you going to make more diversions than a bored highways agency officer on a bank holiday getaway day? Ive commented on the incident before hand We don't even know if he was one who assaulted the police officers

I think someone attacking security in an airport should / van have their head kicked / stamped (or similar). It acts as an incentive for orderly behavior in airports Really a guy on the floor with 2 police officers aiming taser guns at him posses a threat . Of course he can. The bit you miss each time is that the information people have in such situation is incomplete. In any case, As i explained, i would support rough treatment for (just about) anyone physically attacking airport security. It acts as an incentive.

I have absolutely no problem at all with the Police using Lethal Force IF it is the most appropriate response to the immediate threat they face, or is the most appropriate response to ensure the safety of the public. I have now watched a few videos of this incident, and I just do not see how - with the suspect on the ground face down, and looking like he might only be semi-conscious - either of those thresholds have been met. That is my ONLY issue with what we have seen so far. All The Best

I would just like the point out the tension between 'i have no problem with lethal force' and 'if you don't evaluate this correctly on the spot and in the moment, then you get the sack for rough restraint". You are effectively saying that you get to disqualify actions in retrospect and with knowledge that isn't available to those making decisions at the time. In any case, my position goes beyond this - i would support significant amounts of 'putting the boot in' to disincentiv-ise this sort of behavior.

Is this tendency caused by some kind of 'mind-blindness', because it seems to be a persistent pattern?

I notice some of the mob who are demonstrating outside the police station in the islamic republic of Rochdale are holding banners which read 'No Justice No Peace'.
When the next Pakistani grooming gang is exposed, and we all know we wont have to wait long, the whole country should rise up and demand justice for the thousands of children in this country who have been gang raped by British Pakistani or Pakistani heritage 'men'.
Never in the history of this country has a minority been more determined not to integrate or fit in.

I'd guess a lot of people on this thread have never arrested a single person. I have arrested hundreds, maybe thousands, I lost count. Sometimes in situations like that where there is fast movement and fast reactions, keeping personal safety in mind. In various violent situations I have had to resort to hitting people with batons, once on the head, kicking people's legs away, punching them in the face, or using both approved restraint methods and unapproved headlocks. Anyone who has never been involved in a violent arrest doesn't really know Jack ****.

In any case, my position goes beyond this - i would support significant amounts of 'putting the boot in' to disincentiv-ise this sort of behavior. Well, if we can't trust Police Officers to appropriately evaluate a threat, in the moment, then those Police Officers are probably not up to the job. I am not saying I get to do anything. I am saying that whenever the Police use violence, especially life threatening violence, then it needs to be assessed - by those most qualified to do so - if that violence was justified. That is wat the IOPC is currently investigating. If the IOPC decides the violence we saw was justified and POs in question can return to duty then fine I accept that. If the IPC decides the violence we saw was not justified and the POs in question should face disciplinary, or in extremis legal, action would YOU accept that? What you'd support is a violence driven fascist state - well done. If the Police themselves are not also subject to the Law then that is all we really have. You might commit a crime at some point in the future, should the Police come around today and give you a good kicking to disincentivise that possibility? Because it can't disincentivise anything AFTER the fact - that is too late. All The Best

I think that's an idiotic standard that ignores reality. I feel, if someone assaults security in an airport, then they entirely loose any good faith assumption of 'not being a threat'
