This black lady carefully kept a transcript of their whole conversation?
Why did she do that?
Don't know about you lot but I couldn't recite a conversation I had with someone that was 'word perfect'?

It may surprise you to learn that many people - I'd guess a majority, in fact - really aren't interested in "where someone is from" going back generations. I think many people are very interested in heritage purely as an interest. That is why we see such a boom in family history studies. Whenever I am out and about and I hear an accent I can roughly place then I sometimes ask the question. This is called normal social intercourse as well as showing an interest in others. |

LOL, I miss the old boy. I know he came out with some absolute clangers and one thing is for sure, no one would have dared to raise so much as a quizzical eyebrow. But alas, with the demise of the both the Duke and the Queen, I sense Charles and William are going to bend over backwards to accommodate those who openly search for offence.
