it does not appear that Starmer intends to change much of sod all, which is all to the good. I am a Conservative and I don't approve of all this chopping and changing.

They'll make up some new names for the same old, same old but that'll be about it.

Several commentators this afternoon have mentioned that it would be difficult to squeeze a fag paper between previous Tory and current Labour policy and broadly speaking that may be true, but there are not so subtle differences that in the comming months will become more than obvious not least of all, Starmer's constant pledge to 'smash the gangs', and stop illegals crossing the channel. Everyone knows it's not going to happen, lets see what Starmer says at the end of the year when on his watch, immigration both legal and illegal has gone up. |

That Starmer resurrected Sunaks daft Smoking Ban and the Tories failed housing targets show how different this shower will be.. ..and as for his proposed Equality Bill that would set out equal pay rights for people from minority ethnic groups...well..that is already the Law..  |

Actually, I think that's the best case scenario for this non-government - the last thing we want is a bunch of idiot socialists actually meddling with stuff.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The last thing that anyone would accuse Starmer and Reeves of being is socialist.
