Peter Brimelow is a Brit and the author of 'Alien Nation'. He's writing here about the US, but the question is a universal one which applies to all western liberal democracies (and only them) including, particularly, the UK.
.... We are experiencing a demographic transformation without precedent in the history of the world – all brought about by public policy. And Europe is starting down the same path.
I reject the notion that those of us who question this policy have to show what’s wrong with it. Instead, I believe it is incumbent upon those who favour this extraordinary transformation to have to explain what’s right with it – and what makes them think it will work. ....
I've yet to see a coherent response but maybe someone here can provide one.

I presume you mean the globalisation of all, not that aliens control the government. The young of today are the most compliant of all time. In the 60s it was normal for students to demonstrate violently in Britains streets.
As Hitler said, if you catch them young youve got them for life, that even cold blooded murder is ok for a greater good, that of nazism.
If anthing the young go on the rampage for the ruling elite, statues are pitched into rivers.
Its wot they are taught from schools and universities that flog the politically correct, when my generation go, there will be no cry for being free. Its the Obama, democrat nonsense. If the elite can tame the brits, all is possible, the war for the mind of europe will be won. And as always, when control is absolute, violence death will be employed to maintain it.

Globalisation is sometimes fingered as the cause of the transformation but I don't believe that is the case. Globalisation is predominantly an economic process and, despite the claims of the Open Borders crowd, does not depend upon or even require free movement of labour.
The transformation on the other hand, is a politico-legal phenomenon, an outcome of the post-war liberal idiom imposed on the West by the US hegemon after World War II and the international human-rights regime that resulted from that.

Difficult to know if there is a coherent plan, or just opportune plans. It seems to be the divide and rule principle at work. Make a Nation lose its homogeneity and the control of said Nation is easier through any democratic process. The EU is such a monster divide the continent at the democratic/people level through FOM ghettoisation but unite it at the political level. A small degree of turbulence is easily dealt with. The only evidence for a grand plan is that we know that the electorates want something different, and have indicated so at almost every election since the war yet immigration is allowed to continue at very high levels.

So far nobody has attempted to answer The Question. I can't say it comes as a great surprise.
The single most astonishing aspect of all this is that, even after more than seventy years and the addition to the population of somewhere between seventeen and twenty million people of foreign descent, nobody – least of all the promoters and supporters of the multiracial experiment – since that it what it amounts to - has ever been able to provide a schedule of the tangible benefits* that have accrued to the host population as a result of this unwanted and unnecessary transformation.
Their only response is to heap Soviet-style opprobrium on anyone who dares to pose The Question, the underlying implication being that only the mentally ill or socially inadequate could possibly object to what they proclaim as a natural and irresistible process.

The west is a victim of it's own success.
The mass migration of people to an impoverished environment to one where living standards are far superior, is ultimately inevitable and regardless of anyones opinion, now, completely unstoppable.
The avalanche started a very long time ago, it's too late for pebbles and relics to make a change.

That's extremely defeatist.
There's nothing inevitable or irresistible about the process. It's only western liberal democracies that have to deal with the plague of unwanted and unnecessary immigration from the impoverished south. Other regions which are just as rich, or even more so, such as the Asian Tiger economies, Japan, the Arab petro-states and even China are not even remotely troubled by it.
Why do you think that is?

Depends if you consider it a defeat, the majority of people would disagree because the colour of someone's skin, really isn't something we care about - though hearing the far left and right screach at each other like toddlers, does give us a bit of a headache.
As for why people don't migrate to shit holes like China, Russia and the Middle East? Well, when trying to move to a nation where you'll have a much better quality of life, doing so would kind of defeat the object.

Again, 'Numbers are of the Essence'. Skin colour per se is a second-order consideration, but given global demographics it's inevitable that an overwhelming majority of would-be migrants to the west will not be white-skinned.
And, actually, many millions of people do migrate to the Middle East. But usually only temporarily, for work. When no longer needed they are sent away again and replaced by new ones. Families, of course, are not invited.
It's the same in prosperous East Asian countries.

Immigration is not allowed in Russia, Russia is huge, to say the least. Even though mass immigration on a cataclysmic scale is allowed in the west, and the countries are impoverished by it, it still continues. Look at Britain, britons are dying because the health care is not available because the money is given to immigrants. Nothing works. I have yet to read reasons why this is happening. Wots his name on GB news alludes to shadowy forces at work, but refuses to unmask who it is, or why. Neil Oliver thats his name. If you asked Starmer or Sunak why they wont reply or bull s hit. Why? There is no pay off, a reason why mass immigration is good, the british identity is being destroyed. We are bankrupted, crime festers and grows, chaos reigns, its like a nuclear bomb has been let off, but with no explosion. Yet, like sheep, the british people accept this betrayal. You will attempt to explain the inexplicable, and fail.

Immigration is not allowed in Russia, Russia is huge, to say the least. You missed what Stalin did with internal migration. He did more to replace ethnic groups than EU FoM ever did. That's why, even post Wall, Russia still encompasses many Republics, and is the reason given by Putin for his invasion of Ukraine.
