Excuses excuses you'll say anything to defend the most corrupt regime on the planet. We all know that the CIA has been involved in dodgy shit, including the coup in Chile 11th Sept 1973. BUT that doesn't alter the fact that the FSB have been involved in dodgy shit, including the bombing of Russian apartment blocks (to frame the Chechens - who had no motive), en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_Russian_apartment_bombings#Prevented_bombings_in_RyazanTo sending in mercenary terrorists into Donetsk and Luhansk to steal from the Ukrainians and FSB armed mercenary terrorists shot down an airliner. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_17But they and the GRU also assassinate people. Alexei Navalny MP. Boris Nemtsov MP. Sergei Magnitsky (accountant). Alexander Litvinenko (former spy who tried to hire guys to bring down the dictator Putin but was murdered by them for Putin and they became extremely rich for doing so). Anna Politkovskaya journalist. Yuri Shchekochikhin MP and journalist. Sergei Yushenkov MP. Vladimir Golovlyov MP. Galina Starovoytova MP. All of whom opposed the corrupt FSB dictatorship. And since the illegal 2022 attempt to steal Kyiv: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspicious_deaths_of_notable_Russians_(2022%E2%80%932024)Many of them were thrown out of windows, but Yevgeny Prigozhin was murdered with a bomb on his plane and a number of Wagner mercenaries were murdered with him.

I'm well aware there were many suspicious deaths, but taking one at random, Anna Politkovskaya, I notice the cause was inconclusive. She was born in New York by the way. That's the second one I've looked up on here with US connections.

She was gunned down after writing books criticising Putin, and it wasn't the first attempt on her life. On her way to try to negotiate at Beslan, she was poisoned, but survived.

Yes I read that, but there were numerous suspects and it was a long investigation. Of course it indicates corruption, but without knowing who did it and why, we are none-the-wiser. Russian politics is very complicated and I really don't think you nor I am in a position to understand it. Neither of us have lived there. You have many factions fighting each other. She sounded naive. I know of a journalist in Malta who was car bombed as well. She was also critical of the government. Should we bomb Malta as well?

An investigation by the regime who did it was never going to let the truth be known.

An investigation by the regime who did it was never going to let the truth be known. This is it. You will not get the truth from any of these gangsters. President Putin inherited an entirely corrupt country run by the ex-KGB who had stolen the national wealth. He had a hell of a job bring it around to a less corrupt country, but seems to have improved things. Sure you can still find examples of corruption. Not so long ago the chief professor of an aeronautical research institute had a nasty fall down some stairs. We have no idea how that happened either. That stupid bitch was getting involved in things too dangerous for her intelligence. I saw the same with the Maltese one. Women don't have the same sense of defence as men do and can inadvertently walk into danger without realising it, hence why this business is a man's job. In the Maltese case she was reporting on crimes the Mafia were involved with, and that aint too clever (even though she figured it was, what with her journalist of the year awards and all).

Dictator Putin jailed one of the Russian Mafia and told the rest fifty percent, or you're next. He took over the mafia, it's the most corrupt country on the planet.
The BRICS nations prop up the criminal Putin and his gangsters. Putin is the new Hitler.

Dubdrifter, read Anna Politkovskaya's book for goodness sake. She found out that the leader of the Moscow theatre siege was in cahoots with the FSB. The bomb vests of the theatre siege terrorists were fake, and their guns weren't loaded with live ammo. Abu Bakar was his name and he escaped. She tracked him down in Kazakhstan. He confessed. He was then killed in mysterious circumstances, she was poisoned on the way to Beslan where she had intended to negotiate.
Ask yourself how men with assault rifles could cross Moscow without being stopped, when journalists can't?
Ask yourself what Operation Ryazan Sugar was all about? Ask yourself why a country that was independent in 1999 would bomb Russia and get itself invaded?
Read Alexander Litvinenko's book and ask yourself who had motive to murder him?
You're so obsessed with the West you're full of excuses for Putin.

The BRICS nations prop up the criminal Putin and his gangsters. Putin is the new Hitler. That whole scene has cooled down a great deal from the early 2000s. Sure the gangsters are still around and sure they ended up with a ton of wealth that should not have gone to them, but it's a case of let sleeping dogs lie. Let them pass their time away on the yachts looking cool. President Putin tells them we won't go after you unless you bother us. The state cut its losses in order to pursue the more important goal of making the system straight, because with a straight system and proper law courts you attract foreign investment that helps the economy grow. You can tell how corrupt a country is by how much the country gets in foreign investment. China went down a similar path and now most businessmen have confidence in their system. They are happy to sign off billion dollar investments.

Wrong. Putin took over the mafia. The mafia runs Russia.
All journalism in Russia has been locked up or killed. All political opposition in Russia either in prison, or dead. Boris Nemtsov was shot dead four hours after speaking out against Putin and his illegal war against Ukraine in 2015.
Putin is the new Hitler, you have been conned by his propaganda machine.

This thread is about EU governance, and that crazy bitch von de Leyden. As if the car and green energy EU citizen tax is not bad enough, now she has really lost the plot. I guess it doesn't matter to her anyway. She'll get a fat offshore retirement package from the US more than likely for her work in stuffing the EU. Anyway, lets see the latest outburst at 1:35
See Mick Wallace in the EU parliament as well at 5:25 He's one of the very few in the EU parliament with any intelligence. Nearly all the rest are scumbags.

Fuck the Chinese dictatorship and fuck the dictatorship in Russia. I don't like Von Der Leyen, but what you're doing is like pointing the finger at the Hatton Garden gang whilst defending Levi Bellfield.

Trump is talking about slapping a 10% tariff on EU exports to the US. The Germans meanwhile have agreed to host US long range missiles on their soil. Can you see what is happening? The US is screwing the EU something rotten. They probably have them blackmailed.

The US is screwing the EU something rotten. They probably have them blackmailed. Not our fight.. Sure, but I bloody well hope Starmer does not align itself to it. They are crazy. If they do what they reckon they will cause major corporate industries to go bust because they rely in China's supply chain. There is no substitute. It's economic suicide. Chances are the industrialists will have words in their ears and they will back off somewhat, but the thing is I would not invest in the EU if I were looking for regions to expand in. Blighty must make itself look like a more credible investment option by not screwing with supply chains. Businessmen get very nervous even at the whiff of it.
