I hope there is serious public consultation before they rob our green spaces, starting with infrastructure, the strain on schools, public services, GPs, Dentists, unless these requirements are satisfied this Labour government should be stopped in its tracks. We will end up with tens of thousands of houses stuck in places that don't have adequate transport, schools, dentists, shops, so all these people will be abandoned or forced to travel miles to access these services, they will end up like crime ridden ghettos, just like London has turned in to, run by a lefty Labour Mayor. Well this is what happens when you allow clueless people the vote. You didn’t get the memo did yiu The whole idea is these WONT need planning permission It's not just planning permission that needs to be approved, she's coming across like a bull in a china shop, but it wont be as easy as she thinks once these planning applications are made, like wildlife...

Without any thought as to dealing with all the extra effluent and rubbish generated and all the ancillary services needed? You want more turds in our rivers? Sewage systems can't cope already. And what about flooding caused by lack of land drainage? Typical Labour ill though plans. We originally signed up to keeping refugees safe until hostilities ended and they could return. |

Ok TTL, if we had no social problems in this country, if thousands of people were not on housing waiting lists some of them for years, I may be more sympathetic to housing immigrants. But the fact is immigrants are being pushed to the front of the queue, and that's wrong. |

The UK Government cannot build enough houses in the right place fast enough to keep up with demand, due to the size of the population which increases all the time, the same is happening here in the ROI.

The government should be looking at ways to massively reduce immigration, not build 1.5 million homes for immigrants. I think pretty soon there may be a lot of disillusioned Labour voters. I sense choppy seas ahead for this pro EU, pro immigrant, pro net zero government. |

There is a gray area with empty properties in the UK, I have made inquiries to various councils asking for data on their empty properties, I would rather renovate or purchase properties already built, than build more.
None of them are clear, and it's very sketchy, I reckon the empty properties lying empty in the UK would ease hundreds of council waiting lists, also we have foreign investors especially in London sitting on millions if not billions of pounds worth of property, some of them haven't been lived in years, maybe Reeves should start as a example targeting these types.
