Just another level of expensive bureaucracy, or will this agency actually make a difference? There are already border and immigration agencies in place...
1. UK Border Force 2. UK Border Agency 3. Border and Immigration Agency 4. HM Coastguard
And Starmers new...
5. Border Security Command
Numbers 1 and 2 appear to be little more than taxi agencies who's job is to respond to French requests to escort criminals from French waters to Dover. At Dover number 3 takes over and escorts the criminals, at UK tax payers expense, to hotels. Number 4, HM Coastguard appear to be invisible. That's the situation at the moment.
Would anyone like to hazard a guess on how the 'Border Security Command' will change anything? My best guess, Starmers new Border Security Command which btw is costing £75 million a year, will not be used to stop criminals entering the UK or UK waters. It is in fact an agency designed to stop the boats by facilitating safe passage from the EU to England. Much the same as numbers 1 and 2.
I hope I'm wrong, I hope this new agency will actually stop criminals/illegals crossing the channel and comming to England. But I have to say, we all know that's a forlorn hope.

I assume it will be some sort of overarching command and able to tie agency action together. I am not clear how a British government force will be able to 'smash the gangs' when most of the organisation of said gangs is on the continent. What is the betting on the total for this year? I think about 30,000.

Starmers plan seems obvious to me; this government will attempt to reduce the number of dinghies crossing the channel by making it easier for illegals to claim asylum/refugee status from the EU. In other words, under a Labour government immigration from the EU will go up, hands up anyone who's surprised.

They will work on the continent apparently, we have enough trained killers of our own, so a stray bullet in the back of the head might be called for. a nod is as good as a wink to a blind man.

It has just been reported that due to calm weather in the channel the first illegals of this Labour government are currently being escorted by French patrol vessels from French waters to UK waters where a UK Border Farce vessel is waiting to pick them up. There are apparently 50 64 illegals on this particular dingy - soon to be living off UK benefits.
Edit: 64 illegals were Starmers first dingy, not 50 as first reported.

Starmer's tinkering will not have any effect on the boats. It's going to be interesting how Farage and Tice hold his feet to the fire on the boats.

Indeed, this is the biggest thing that got the Tories fired, oh and the lies like stop the boats. GB news has stopped reporting on it, why? Have you noticed how advertisers on other channels dont advertise on gb news, why? The penny is yet to drop with the electorate as far as the boats are concerned.
The journey from wanting the tories out to realising Labour are worse has started.

The journey from wanting the tories out to realising Labour are worse has started. Piggy, GB News havent stopped reporting on it. They were at Dover yesterday filming Starmers first illegals being unloaded by the Border Farce, and I'm sure they will continue to report on it. As for advertising; when Farage's de-banking scandal was in the headlines, it was reported that 'left wing activists' were putting huge pressure on advertisers to boycott GB News. Companies/brands who caved in to threats and pulled advertising from GB News include... Nivea Koppaberg Grolsch Ikea Ovo Energy LV Vodafone Bosch Indeed Pinterest Octopus Energy It's how the left works, pressure intimidation and threats. And if that doesn't work, violence. And I agree, Labour voters will slowly realise they've made a big mistake.

Border security command sounds like a retreat to behind the desks or Whitehall to me . The Only border we need is the Royal Navy with a mandate of 'they shall not pass'
And trust me even with one Frigate and three canoes they won't .

This is how I think Starmers 'Border Security Command', will operate: Firstly it will have absolutely no powers to 'smash the gangs' in the EU, that was nothing more than election fantasy. It will have no power to stop illegals leaving France for the UK, the French authorities will see to that. What it may do, in my opinion, is set up an operation in France where illegals are briefly interviewed which will be nothing more than a box ticking exercise, they will then be given a pass or permit of some sort to show they are claiming refugee/asylum status in the UK (Because as we all know France is at war) and loaded onto a daily Calais to Dover shuttle service provided by the Border Farce. Starmer will then announce he has stopped the small boats. Watch this space.

No Rackham you watch this space, when the Britons say they have had enough we mean what we say and anyone who has been paying attention will know we will catch up with you one way or another and Politicians cannot cover for you.

It can only make sense to those who have been around long enough and know how it works, that isn't you.xx I've been around the block and I've seen a bit of life. Most of it was fantastic, some of it, less so. All part of lifes rich tapestry, and the reason I know life is a rich tapestry is because unlike some people, I've been there. Are you blowing me kisses! I sincerely hope you're female. And when I say female I'm not talking about one of those modern females with five o'clock shadow and meat & two veg. Conformation would be appreciated...
