Its a good article but i cant agree that the way things are is irreversible, it goes against nature, and nature is change, that for every force there is an equal and opposing force. All things come and go, or we would still be hunter gatheres, not to change is to die, something better will come, its inevitable. That is if human kind is destined to live on, and i think there is a doubt over that.
And the doubt is that this article has been written.
The establishment is regressive.
If we cannot wrest control away from such people then all is lost. Strangely Putin and Russia represent freedom, freedom to choose, which is lost in the west. Russia chooses Putin.
If Labour are still in power, lets say like the Tories for 14 years, Britain will become impoverished.
It is now under the blue, but red tories. It will be hell on earth.

Enjoyable read — I also enjoy listening him on Times Radio. But it's noticeable in this article that Neil's irritation with things Left mounts as he notices them as he ages.
Not a surprise. I hope his appraisal of the situation get the Tories taking care as they rebuild themselves...

"Final triumph of the New Establishment: Now with a Leftie lawyer in Downing Street, they've seized the last piece of the jigsaw...The election of a Labour government with a massive majority is being portrayed, at home and abroad, as the start of a lurch to the Left in Britain. It would be more accurate to see it as putting in place the final piece of a Left-wing jigsaw that already covers all the crucial aspects of national life"...
Which is why the Tories are at a crossroads. They have two choices, continue along the path of liberal centrist conservatism, and be replaced by Reform UK as they surely will. Or get rid of the moderates, the liberals and centrists, go back to proper centre right Conservatism. It's not a difficult choice.
