People would be allowed to legally smoke cannabis but not cigarettes under plans outlined by the Liberal Democrats. Sir Ed Davey has defended his party’s proposals to legalise marijuana while at the same time outlawing phasing out tobacco. (LOL) link
So under a LibDem administration, people would be legally allowed to buy and smoke canabis, but tobacco would be banned! This policy is straight from the madhouse. How does Ed (Barking mad) Davey propose to ban tobacco? Perhaps he thinks it can be uninvented?.. |

I rarely venture on here, but the above is disturbing, that Davey cannot see the obvious problem. If he was having a psychiatric assesment, and this came up, the doctor would question him closely on how he got to the situation described. And whether his reasoning was sound. My guess is that it would only get more bizarre, and indeed, would be deemed psychotic.

LibDem's wanting to introduce a legal, regulated market for cannabis is a bit more nuanced than how you state it.
The LibDem proposal is to restrict sales to over-18s only, from licensed retailers with strict limits on potency and THC content — eg, to protect young people, tackle the criminal gangs and take ‘skunk’ off the streets by introducing a legal, regulated market for cannabis — nothing about smoking, vaping, eating or other ways it might be consumed...

Anyone who seriously thinks the supply of cannabis can be restricted doesn't realise how readily available it is. |
