Do you remember what month it was, because if it was before February 2014 bearing in mind that Russia invaded Crimea in Feb. 2014. He might have a bit of a point. Even if he does have a point he was a bit late, I was aware of the demonstrations by the people of Ukraine in 2013, when Putin's man in the Ukraine, Yanukovych, refused to sign the agreement to have closer trading with the EU. Not membership. At a time when Putin was doing his best to get the Ukraine to sigh up to closer trading with Russia. Russia wanted more control over Ukraine, the Ukrainians did not want to sign up to be closer to Russia and we can now see why they didn't. I heard a long time back the story and seem to recall President Putin made his final offer to the Americans in 2012. It said President Putin made repeated requests to the Americans that they should meet and settle his security concerns, but they brushed him off at every attempt. It was apparently similar to how we saw things just before the war. They treated him as a pleb not to be taken seriously or worthy of talking to. I also seem to recall it was 2012 where President Putin first got together with President Xi to talk about setting up Brics and other big global plans, which presumably included his BRI. It looked like that until 2012 he tried his best to work with the West in peaceful trade, but after that he threw the towl in and started working on Plan B with Xi. He would have had to modernise his military for one thing. |

If that was the date Farage forecast war in the Ukraine it was 9 months late, I am sure many people including myself believed that given Russia's record of invading neighbouring countries, along with the facts that Russia had already annexed Crimea and Russian terrorist were fighting in the Donetsk area, war in Ukraine was recognised months earlier than by Farage. -- "Nov 30, 2013 · Thousands of people have staged fresh protests in Ukraine's capital, Kiev, at President Viktor Yanukovych's refusal to sign an EU agreement for closer trading with Ukraine" --.
