How in the name of sanity does anyone with a logical mind, weigh off not extracting our own gas, with importing ship loads of LNG which have been drilled out in Africa and America. Then, lots of energy is used to compress the gas to liquid, load it on a diesel guzzling ship, send it a quarter of the way or more around the world, then use a lot of energy to unload it at the Isle of Grain. If that makes sense to these people, they belong in a lunatic asylum.

We will be hanging onto our reliable efficient and economic diesel cars for as long as we can. We may get rid of one, it's a point of discussion, we'll see. Anyway, by the time they're banned I suspect I'll be to old to drive anyway.

Stupid bitch. I think she should be sacked because what she is doing is living off other people's wealth and at the same time destroying our capacity to generate wealth. If you deny people a living then you yourself should be denied a living.
Boycott the woman.

It seems China is the only one building them and they are fucking stuck with them....Its a tad ironic as they are the globes largest polluters and stuff more into the atmosphere than the rest of the globe does together..

Indeed Jonksy, there are millions of people in this country who are determined to hang onto their diesel/petrol cars. Which is why net zero loving Starmer should be regarded as a threat.

Me too After the wheel fell off the Mitsubushi Colt Mrs Jog took delivery of a petrol skoda automatic that scares me when she puts it in sports mode. I remain the rather enthusiastic owner of a fully 4WD diesel Dacia Duster that’s slightly less economic than madam’s skoda if she keeps it out of sports mode above 50 but plys its way through mud snow ice grit shit and might even handle JSO protesters if it has to. It’s only there because part of my job is to get to the server centres if tbe bank’s cash machines fail, because the quickest way to get a riot in a zombie apocalypse will be to stop taking card payments at the pumps …. I too suspect i will be too demented diabetic or have too many heart problem's to be allowed to start the car LONG before the diesel engine is banned.

Yes indeed, but after five years of a manically pro net zero Labour government, I think even the most enthusiastic of Labour voters may see the error of their ways and vote for change.
